European gamers to be caught in Gundam Crossfire
You have had four months tacked on to your Playstation 3 release date. And sure, you may be paying an extra £125 for it with your only option being the most expensive one. But damn it, Europe. If we had to put up with Mobile Suit Gundam: Crossfire, then so do you. Known as Mobile Suit Gundam: Target in Sight in the UK, Atari has taken it upon themselves to bring this critically panned monstrosity to your side of the ocean. It's sort of like when that bully at your school would come around, handing out beat downs. He'd get to you and say, "Oh yeah. I almost forgot." But instead of just clocking you in the face he sticks his tongue in your mouth.
Sure, he means well and you're flattered, but that is your personal space and no one has a right to touch you in a way that makes you feel uncomfortable.
Buy anything else. Even Untold Legends.

I've seen alot of bullying tactics, but bullying through french kissing is an entirely new one to me. Brings dating to a whole new and disturbing level.

Wasn't a Goddamn title supposed to be released on the Wii? Maybe I'm thinking of Gunstar Superheros.

You know... just as I defended Chromehounds many moons ago, I shall defend Gundam here. If you are a Gundam fan, you will find enjoyment. If you're not... well, what are you doing buying a Gundam game? Believe it or not, Joystiq, there are UC fans all over the world and while this may not appeal to you, for someone who can see the sheer joy of slicing through some GM Snipers with a Gouf Custom, it's not that bad of a game. Could definately be better and if you have the choice bewteen this and AC4, by christ, pick up AC4.
After all, people who have played extensive Gundam games knows, they get worse. They get MUCH MUCH worse.

HEY! Untold Legends is the only PS3 title I own... It's not THAT bad...

...So what do you do? First, you say no. Then, you get out of there!

i actually played this game, and it was by far the biggest piece of crap ever. The graphics were horrible, the controls horrible, everything about it was horrible
Proton @ Feb 1st 2007 11:41AM
"That's no good."

In defense of Chromehounds, the only real complaint from most people was that it was a rather slow and methodical game as opposed to the fast paced action from the Armored Core series. Gundam just happens to be a pos game that has NO redeeming facters other than the fact that it's Gundam. At least a year's more developement time would have made it at least ten times better than the shiney blu piece of turd it is now.

As a rabid Gundam fan, and owner of basically every Gundam game ever made (Jap and US, that I can get my hands on) I can honestly say that Gundam:Crossfire for the Playstation 3 is an average Gundam game. It's not the best, it's not the worst, and whomever said the graphics "Suck" is an idiot. The mechs look amazing, and the ground/buildings are the standard for a mech game (about the same detailing as Chromehounds).
Any Universal Century Gundam Fan (the only Gundam fans in my mind; to hell with the Seed universe) would find something to enjoy in this game, I certainly did. If you are a Seed noob or a Wing noob then you probably won't, and if you don't like Gundam at all, then save yourself the misery and don't pick up this title (Hardcore Gundam fans have become accustomed to playing mediocre titles because they are Gundam and for very few other reasons).
It makes me laugh when people that have no idea what Gundam is, compare it to other mech games, oblivious that there is a worldwide fanbase of people that this game was designed specifically for.

Actually, the Seed fans may find some interest in the UC universe. Especially considering the amazing amount of parallels. Like how the original Seed can best be described as a "reimagining" of the orginal One Year War. All the Seed joiners would have to do to relate is either imagine themselves as Zaft or Federation and place themselves in the battles leading up to the ultimate conclusion.
Why UC and Seeders hate each other seems rather pointless to me. They both follow the same format in storytelling and hell, so much of Zaft mights as well be called Zeon 2.0. The main ones that would feel out of place within the UC universe would be the wingers and, god forbid, the G Gundam fans.
