Awesome video, I love how the way Conan is all hype up. Yet, if you look carefully, they aren't Wii Straped. The way Conan was swinging away, he could have killed someone. Conan was more passionate about it than Serena and still lost, lol. Keep these Wii gameplay footage coming.

It's like the kind of thing they do on a Japanese talk show. Wish we had more of this kind of thing here. (I used to watch Conan and I know he does lots of little skits, but it's rare to see hosts actually challenging their guests to games or physical tasks in the name of comedy here.)

Okay, I see what's happening here. Nintendo is hogging all of the good press. And why? What do they gain through the use of their good press siphon? They don't even have any on the shelves!

Nintendo must have sacrificed many gamecubes at the alter of the gaming gods. NOTHING goes wrong for them on the WII. This is the best advertising possible. Can not get any better than this. Thinking of becoming another Wii360 fanboy. (Love my 360)As if I could find one...

@7 don't forget, Ellen Degeneres. she gave away a Wii before it was even sold to the general public. she gave it to some teenager who was blind and used echolocation to navigate.

I've been a Wii skeptic and will remain a Wii skeptic, but aside from the asinine Friendcodes, Nintendo has done everything exactly right for the past 2 to 3 years.

@ Grunge

You're making it sound like the Wii shortages are due to low supply when they're actually due to high demand. And it sells hundreds of thousands a month, so "impossible" is a bit of an overstatement, I'd say.

South Park, The Colbert Report, and now this...good to see that Nintendo is still using this sort of thinly-veiled guerrilla marketing to keep the 'upwardly-mobile', Scrubs-watching crowd interested, well after the holidays.

Please don't tell me that Nintendo isn't 'in' on these stunts.

If I recall Nintendo said they had nothing to do with South Park putting the Wii in the show.

If they had paid or did some kind of deal it would be a matter of record which no one has found. No such guerrilla marketing on the tv.

Instead it was getting soccor moms with blogs to attend wii parties to generate buzz.

And Sony is using unethical business tactics to help win them the format war, companies do what they can to see that they make money. What is your damn point?

As somebody on the Youtube comments already mentioned, the reason Serena lost was because she underestimated Wii sports. She never once tried making a backhanded swing, so it's no wonder her swings weren't registering on time.

Who cares if Nintendo is in on it or not? Has anyone ever watched House, MD? Do you think that it's any coincidence that he plays a game boy all the time, and curiously started playing the DS in the first season of the show right after the DS came out? The difference between Nintendo and Sony is that they don't try to do it in a disingenuous manner like the whole "All I want for Xmas is a PSP." They aren't artificially creating websites with paid actors claiming to be real people, and unnaturally trying to spread it viral over the internet. They are simply placing products and showing how they work. What is wrong with getting people on board with a product by showing it actually being used in a fun and effective manner? Nothing, and Nintendo is not trying to do anything but that. If they are wrong for showing a great product actually functioning in the real world, without any heavy-handed "this is what all the cool people want" BS, then I'd hate for them to be right.

@Ben

In the new 2/1/07 episode, Dr. House was actually playing a PSP while talking to a patient. Yes. I almost fell off the floor. He had been Gameboy/DS'ing it for quite a while.....until now.

Just sayin'........
