Game Trailers: The 10 most anticipated games of 2007

Game Trailers has got the production skills to pay the bills; they do a helluva job getting us excited for some of 2007's biggest games. Notables include Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3, Crysis, GTA 4, Metal Gear Solid 4, Assasin's Creed, and of course, Halo 3. Click "play" to get antsy.

i know ill get slammed for this, but im getting weary of all things halo.

i mean after gears of war, microsoft better make sure halo 3 gives you a handjob while playing it, otherwise it will just be a letdown.

I agree the Game Trailers do some nice production work. Their understated but intelligent presentation and tone is both refreshing and appreciated considering the G4s and Spike TVs of the world.

Anyone's personal anticipated games list will depend on personal taste. A large number of people anticipate Pokemon games! I'm a platformer fan, so my most anticipated list would include Banjo Kazooie. So, these lists are really meaningless.

Spore, GTA4 and Final Fantasy XIII are pretty much the only major games I'm looking forward to in 2007 (though FFXIII I know is going to be 2008 for the US, but hey, no region coding on the PS3!)

I'm curious about Mario Galaxy and it *might* be the game that convinces me to buy a Wii. But probably not. It would have to be a real return to form for Mario.

Halo 3 is probably the most anticipated game of all time, with preorders of a game being released more than 8 months away mounting 250,000 I dont know if it will reach 3 millions by the time the game gets realesed

No doubt about it, 2007 will be the year for gaming. I am having a hard time just trying to get my personal list down to 3, since I am a casual gamer and do not have a lot of time to dedicate to gaming due to family and work. Still, at the moment those games are Halo 3, Crysis & Assissin's Creed. Admittedly, I do not have a machine that can run Crysis, so that may change to Mass Effect depending upon finances throughout the year.

Halo 3!! Good choice... though I continue to wonder why MGS4 wasn't #2, and why SSBB was pretty low on the list. And I agree with anyone who wanted Spore up there. Otherwise... good list.

LOL@ you thinking FF13 will come out in Japan before 2008. Don't expect FF13 in the US until 2009.

Anyone else irked to not see the US release of Blue Dragon, the Japan release of FF13, Fable 2, or in fact anything that remotely resembles an RPG on the list?

If it weren't for Nintendo, the entire list would be a real-time stab/shoot-things fest... and at some point they all start to bleed together.

No matter what kind of list they come up with people will always have there own opinion! I don't believe any Wii game should be up there but thats what I feel and yes I do agree that Halo3 will be the best game of the year and Gears of War which was great will have nothing on it!

Gonna be a great year. I'm not sure, though, that all of the titles that they list will even show up in 2007. But, assuming they do, here's my list. I'll even include PS3 and PC games that I won't get to play, along with Wii games I might get to play:

1)Mass Effect
2)Halo3
3)Super Mario Galaxy
4)HL Ep2
5)Fable2
6)Bioshock
7)Command & Conquer (PC preferable, I'll get 360)
8)Forza2
9)God of War II
10)Tie between MGS4 and Metroid

My list may be skewed 360 because it is all I got right now, so naturally I look forward to them more.

Most over-hyped games right now: Spore and Crysis. They will both likely be very good, but many people are screaming GoTY already just because of technical prowess of the games. What's to say Crysis isn't just FarCry with awesome graphics. I didn't like FarCry anything. And Spore doesn't even look fun to me.

FFXIII will NOT be in NA this year.

Looking at Game Trailer's so-called "lists", they have a Scariest Game list and fail to include Thief or Thief 2.

They have zero cred.

And not including something by WILL WRIGHT is like listing the national capitals of the world and not including Washington, DC.
