Konami Gamers Day Media Blowout
It looks like we won't be waiting for Monday to get the girth of coverage we were expecting. It'll be Game Videos and Game Trailers battling for your short attention span today as we wind our way through Konami's Gamers' Day line-up.PSP
Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles - For those wanting more from last night's big announcement, here's the second level.
Coded Arms Contagion - What do you mean "no audio?" Either somebody goofed or Konami doesn't want you to know that Coded Arms was composed by Milli Vanlli.
Brooktown High - This western take on Konami's own dating simulation, Tokimeki Memorial, just seems to be getting better as it does creepy!
Nintendo DS
Lunar Knights - Gorgeous cinematic animation compliment this Boktai rehash quite well.
Konami Classic Series: Arcade Hits - Featuring Contra, Gradius, Time Pilot, Yie-Ar Kung Fu, Rush'n Attack, Track & Field, Circus Charlie and Rock' N Rope.
Lost in Blue 2 - Perhaps this time you'll just get to eat your partner to survive. Maybe even win fabulous prizes!
Honeycomb Beat - Again with the lack of audio! For a puzzler with the word "beat" in it, you'd expect to hear some tunes, you know?
Nintendo Wii
Dewy's Adventure - Also announced last night, an original Wii title from the Elebits team. No, doesn't look inspired by Elebits at all.
Kororinpa - Soundless video be damned, this is hot! The Xbox (or Mac) faithful will call it out as a Marble Blast Ultra clone, but let's be honest. The world could use more games based around marbles.
Dance Dance Revolution Hottest Party - We brought the beat back with this one already, but it's always worth a second look.
Xbox 360
Dance Dance Revolution Universe - The other three players in this video must have fell into epileptic shock. Hang in there, player one!
Hellboy - Say what you will about this awkward looking action title, but oh my god, monkey with a minigun!

I love posts like this, love for so many systems
Dave @ Feb 2nd 2007 5:01PM
One system seems to be absent from the list...
Jay @ Feb 2nd 2007 5:05PM
Brooktown High doesn't look anywhere near as good as Tokimeki Memorial in the design department ... ugh.
Brian @ Feb 2nd 2007 5:04PM
This is a big pile of who cares from a mostly third-rate developer.
(I posted this first and it mysteriously disappeared)

Dave: hold on now, there's still more Konami to come on Monday.
Blackmoon @ Feb 2nd 2007 5:06PM
There missing just about the only Konami title I give a shit about; MGS4.
MoonfirePewPEwPEw @ Feb 2nd 2007 5:14PM
I would love to whip her.

That list is pretty underwhelming all the way around. They say the face of gaming is changing...I guess there is some truth to that. Just not sure if this is good or not.
Brian @ Feb 2nd 2007 5:25PM
It's the definition of a slow news day during the start of a gaming drought.

What...? That "Dance Dance Revolution Hottest Party" is supposed to be beginner??
Ahahahaa.
(Yeah, I know it's not finished and this doesn't reflect upon what the final will be like.)

Sorry, I forgot to state what that YouTube link was for. It's another Kororinpa video, with sound.

Crossing fingers for Suikoden 6 not making me spend 600 dollars on a ps3...
Emperor Samoth @ Feb 4th 2007 9:51AM
Girl in the photo's HOT!
ManekiNeko @ Feb 3rd 2007 1:31AM
Honeycomb Beat! Yeah yeah yeah! It's not good! No no no!
Seriously, I've seen Flash games with better production values. Either polish this up or sell it for $19.99.
Konami Arcade Classics looks fantastic, though. I've got the past two Konami collections and they're both excellent... I think it's safe to expect the same high quality from this one.

Well, Deweys Adventure looks kinda cool, overly sutesey graphics aside.
And Hellboy looks alright, too.
Never was much for DDR and Castlevania, though.
Icupnimpn2 @ Feb 3rd 2007 11:02AM
laugh @ 16 - You've got to finish the song, "Honeycomb is a big, big waste." Man, I feel like I'm back at the clubhouse!
No one has addressed the awful character design of Brooktown High. I'm not sure why the Tokimeki Memorial seris has been so monstrously popular in Japan, but I imagine that it has something to do with the ATTRACTIVE CHARACTERS. Who wants to plow through dialogue trees for the right to pretend-date a monstrous monkey-faced bobble head? Why'd they go for this quasi-Bratz / Karaoke Revolution hybrid? Uggggghhh leeeeee
Anonim @ Feb 4th 2007 3:55AM
For PS3 - ONLY HELLBOY.
NO MGS4 in 2007!
