Wii + DJ = WiiJ (Duh!)
OK, we'll admit it, we have no idea what is going on in this video (also embedded below after the jump). All we see is some guy waving his arms in the air (like he just doesn't care) while the computer drops some funky beats. Supposedly, the Wii controllers in his hands are actually activating the various looping samples, but we can't make hide nor hair of which motions are supposed to do what, even with the helpful descriptive text on the video.
If this is a fake, though, it's an extremely elaborate one. The video's maker, DJ Shift 1 has set up an elaborate web page page that lays out the fundamentals of his patented technique. The WiiJaying master is also promoting his first live performance of his at Bootie San Francisco on May 12. Now that's devotion to a hack.

Wow! I must become a DJ with my wii, b/c that doesn't look all that retarded, it actually looks kind of fun! Can't wait to try it.

Hmm, I think I'll make a lame video with terrible music, and a lame website, then put some google ads on it, submit the story to every meta news site I can find, and watch the cents come rolling in

OK, that rocks...except the popped collar. So gay...

Wow, just what the DJ scene needs is one more wannabe but now with the "nerd accessory of the year" a Wiimote. Also proves the point that you need absolutely ZERO talent to be a DJ.

I knew it, Elmer Fudd is the one behind all this Wii wevolution kwap.

The tracks were already set at the same bpm's(Beats Per minute)So, to mix the other track in(With the Wiimote)wouldn't be a hard thing to do. If he did something like mess with the pitch controls on the program, to match the BPM's,that would've been sweet. Nothing special yet, but is very promising:)
