Today's hottest game video: GRAW 2
A Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 preview nabs today's pick off GameTrailers. This video showcases the multiplayer modes and scenarios, including mentioning of one of our favorites, co-op play against the computer. (An Xbox Live demo was released earlier in the week, but alas, it was single-player only.)Is GRAW 2 going to be your new favorite team-based shooter? PS3 fans will have to wait a little bit longer, while Xbox 360 players should get the first chance to evaluate the game in March.
Watch the video after the break.

Looks good, but besides graphics, it isn't that much of an improvement over GRAW 1

Bet whoever is playing that can't see over the dashboard when he's driving.

I'll be very interested to see how XBL GRAW2 stands up to PSN GRAW2.

"If you enjoy engaging in online military operations..."
What an obnoxious review. I could barely stand to listen to this guy

And PC will be released when, Joystiq?

Rainbow Six will remain the favorite for the inclusion of a highly usable cover system, nice tight maps, and the ability to build/customize your online character. You can even put your face on the character.
The GRAW 2 demo felt a little more polished than GRAW, but that doesn't make up for the fact that we're in a post-Gears of War world. A "realistic" shooter needs a cover system. Cover in GRAW is such an afterthought that multiplayer didn't even support it. Nothing seems to indicate that this has changed for GRAW 2.

I love how because of GoW and R6 all of a sudden every game has to have a "cover system." Not saying its not a warranted gripe... just seems to be the super-buzzword right now.
With that said, yeah GRAW could benefit from a more REFINED cover system... but for what its worth, cover can be used.
Amoveo @ Feb 4th 2007 12:39PM
In the single player preview they did say there would be an improved cover system. It's no Gears of War, but there will be a cover system.

Niiice.

Well, that's what innovation does
I still say we don't need these frickin analog sticks, lets go back to the ORIGINAL PlayStation Controller :P
Endejas @ Feb 4th 2007 3:13PM
Why is there no cover system in GRAW multiplayer?! That was one of the biggest complaints (besides all the voodoo crap you had to do to get a game going without dropping someone).
I love GRAW's single-player, and I bet I'd love the multiplayer a lot more if I were playing the same game.
Deano @ Feb 5th 2007 6:48AM
And no support for left-handers again. No big loss, these GRAW games are dull.
ToRo @ Feb 5th 2007 12:25AM
Looks really good. But i never liked the GRAW multiplayer. Maybe its because I liked the single player too much. And in my opinion, the multiplayer is too different from the single player. Which was what probably what turned me off about the multiplayer. Single player though is looking real good. Can't wait to see what the achievements are.
