Pre-ordered today for only £31 (RRP £39.99). Looking forward to Crackdown and the added bonus of this Halo3 beta. At least we now know how you go about obtaining this beta. Thanks.

LuckyChowmeinDude - I wouldn't count on it. My guess is that each disk will have a unique registration code, so that the demo can only be re-downloaded on the console it was first downloaded on...

PaulH - where the devil did you find it that cheap? I can't find it for any less than £37.99 in the UK (and even then, I don't fancy buying from Asda...)

It would be way too expensive to print a special code on every disk and i don't think it has never been tried before. (why doesn't microsoft put a code on each disk for vista?) I would think you could install the beta on as many 360s as you can get ahold of, much like the halo2 map disk.

I have a STRONG feeling it will require a password that comes with the game

Way to credit the source, as noted on the screen shot. If we see you at a press event we might accidentally spill a bucket of coffee on you

Oh, they can do it. And they will do it. Otherwise you'll have everyone out there renting Crackdown from Blockbuster. Which defeats the whole purpose of the beta being incentive to purchase the game.

Do you think you will be able to sell your halo3 beta, and keep your crackdown disc. im not interested in betas, so it would be nice to make up some of the cost.

Way to link back to Dtoid, the greatest gaming site in the 'verse from which the screenshot originated. Or not.

you will need the game disk to play the beta OXM magazine gave it a 7.0. the way they talked about the game that seemed gracious. I am a definite fan of the demo tho, I'm excited about the game.
