Join 1,000 NBA Live players, boost your Gamerscore

The objective is simple: unlock NBA Live 07's "Online with 1,000 people" Xbox 360 Achievement. To do so, Achieve360Points.com is asking all would-be b-ballers to get online Saturday night (8-9 pm EST). You don't even need to play. Simply stream ESPN radio (via Xbox Live) and go about your business; making this arguably the easiest 100 Achievement points you'll ever earn.

Needless to say, NBA Live 07 does not rank among the top titles played by Xbox Live users. The most difficult part of Saturday's task might be locating the game for cheap. Anyone wanna loan us a copy?

Xbox 360 Fanboy astutely notes that Achieve360 has apparently hijacked the idea for this community effort from competitor Xbox360Achievements.org, which is hosting a similar initiative on the 25th; though digging around on Achieve360 turns up this evidence, which suggests the NBA Live feat was attempted (and failed) in late January. So props to both sites -- we hope to see both forthcoming efforts succeed!

X360A has been planning this event for months... in fact, the first image I made looked like this:

Anyone notice the date? We decided to push it to 2 months later after having talks with EA to find out information about the specific achievement.

Planning something and mentioning something online are two completely different things. X360A mentioned in on the 1st (publicly), which was 10 days after A360P mentioned the 1st event. Looks like you are just grabbing for straws now. Upset that someone else can think up events too?

Both sites are after the same goal on this- to get the achievement. a360p had made a thread saying they were looking to do one, as did x360a. x360a then set a date and started informing everyone and spreading the word, whilst a360p didnt have a time or date.

x360a sent messages to people on a360p to work together to improve the odds of succeeding, which unfortunately have not been taken into account. Its about getting the achievement, not about the 'rivalry'. Or at least it should have been.

Why not just do it on the same day so the info reaches more people?

It really speaks about how awful this game is, that it's having trouble getting 1,000 people online at any time... NBA 2K7 has outsold it 3:1!

This is stupid, why don't they both pull their resources and do it on the same day. I guess there is a reason these people bought NBA '07.

Also, this is one of the WORST achievements ever. It's like saying, "hey, anyone who buys this game more than a month after the release will never get it".
