FF6 Advance? I gotta check this out when I get home. I, like many others love FF6 for SNES that I replayed it x2. I would probably even get the remake for PS1, but I might as well start with the GBA version if it offered extra features as well.

BTW, is the "E-Mail me when someone replies to this comment" feature working for any of you folks here on Joystiq?

FF VI on gba. I wondered which would happen first,
nice port from square or dope ass emu-style.

I don't really care which way it goes as long as I've got it on the go. Chrono Trigger next please.

FF6 is such an excellent game. I'm glad to see Square has finally fixed the evade bug! And I'm hoping the translation has improved.

Now they need to release Star Ocean, Dragon Quest 5 and 6, Secret of Mana, Seiken Densetsu 3, and Chrono Trigger for GBA or DS.
Any others?

thanks for the reply. That's what I figured. It's still a good sign though, as the the direct posting (without the hassle of going through email) was mentioned but didn't work and is now fixed, I'm sure they're working on the email notifications of replies

The Sims Life Stories? Sounds like a Lifetime series about Sims trying to get off drugs and alcohol.

Diddy Kong Racing DS is TRASH, they removed the Silver Coin Challenge, added tacked on touch screen and microphone controls, and some tacked on game modes as well. I would've much preferred a straight N64 port with the only additions being online and custom track maker, but noooo, Rare screwed everything.

Stay way from this game.

I thought RARE worked for MS now? Did they do the DKR for DS?

Ritz, Since both FF6 and DKR are ports, you should pick up lunar knights instead :) Cause according to the DS fanboys, ports aren't worth playing... At least not on the psp :(

Now that I have taken my pot shot at DS fanboys, My real suggestion is to get FF6. Diddy Kong Racing was crap on the N64 and will continure to be crap on the DS.

lunar knights, here I come. I would get ff6 but since I no longer have my gba I probably wont. I know my ds lite can play gba games, but for some reason I just really dont like playing them on ds

@8

Actually, Capcom Puzzle World's release date is officially tomorrow. Notice that the date given for this list of games is "the week of" February 5th. All those games come out sometime this week, not necessarily today. So don't run off to Gamestop just yet.

I'm looking forward to that game as well... mostly for the portable version of Supper Puzzle Fighter.

Rare works for Microsoft, but they no longer own the hold the rights to any of the Donkey Kong properties (or any of the DK games).

@vidikron

Before I grabbed my keys, I went to the gamestop website to call my spot to see if they had any, then I noticed it wasn't out yet :( Either way, I'm getting it sometime soon!

@Grunge

I know they do not hold the rights, thus my question "Did they do the DKR for DS." The way I weakly formed that sentence could lead one to believe that I made the assumption they did not, and it was Nintendo's inhouse developers that did the work on the port, and not Rare.

Hmm...
Now I really need to get a DS Lite more than ever. I sold my DS Phat and two games I didn't want any more to Gamestop back in August (in anticipation of the trade in price going down even more) with the intention of using the prophets to buy a DS Lite. I ended up not really needing a DS anymore, and put the credit towards Wii games and accessories (Worth it!).

However, not that FF6 (THE GREATEST GAME OF ALL TIME!) is in portable form, I may have to finally get off my butt and go get one.

Oh, and I don't know why all these FF7 fanboys are so obsessed with a FF7 remake for PS3. Think about how much cooler a complete 3D retooling of FF6 would be.

I completely disagree with this for the reason of the 2D representation of FF6 is perfect. Why screw it up? On the other hand, looking at FF7 in it's blocky screen vomit with consistency errors (cloud going from extremely blocky in some cut scenes, like falling from the Mako Reactor into the flower house, and in the end of the game he's all smooth and realistically proportioned). FF6 is perfect the way it is... FF7 on the other hand, could use a severe overhaul (even with justtthe FFX graphics engine).

Just to let everyone know, I've been playing DKR for about a week now, and it is absolute garbage. I loved DKR64 and this one is just horse shit. Enjoy spinning your wheel/propeller with your finger to get a boost start, if you purchase this crap.

I'll be picking up FFVI, I enjoy playing a good RPG's on hand helds. Playing FF I-VI on my DS Lite with a good cup of tea, sounds like a good way to unwind at the end of a day. It's kinda sad though, I think this is the last good game that will be released for the GBA.
