I'd like to see more contests, doesn't have to be for anything huge. Also, I'd like to see achievements further developed as people (like myself) are getting into them more and more. Maybe a drawing each month for each "tier"- 1-5000 gamerscore, 5001-10000, etc., with each higher tier being eligible for a bigger prize.

All content FREE and paid for by advertiser's. The only thing I like about Epic with GOW was they gave 2 maps FREE thanks to The Discovery Channel. Thanks Discovery Channel!!!

But I can't stand Epic for giving us a broken game with no clan support and not letting us play with our friends in ranked matches. Every developer needs to look at Halo 2 for the answer and give us a good match making system like Halo 2 has for years.

A Halo 2 match making system should be implemented in every game that would benefit from it as a standard, no questions asked.

Tis is not an rule, but what I miss in the hole Life Experience is sharing ure game Experience. If it's possible to recorde a game clip and then share that with other people, ore send it to your friends list. That way you can help one and other even in the singel player Experience..

Also what you can do is have a list of games and then ask marketplace to send you a message if Demo's, vids ore other related material are on marketplace for your downloading pleasure.

oh rules suck they keep you from doing stuff.

oh yeah make every thing free should be a rule.

But i'm realistic so when hell freezes I'll be there.....

i agree with THA1icarus on that we should have a list of games that we can recieve updates on every time we log into xblm.

i would also love to have this...and because i dont have live right now...nor do i have a connection to the internet for my xbox until crackdown comes out...so i wont be able to just go to "new releases" and see everything i've missed. so i would like something that would see when u last logged into xblm and would show you what has been posted since then.

SeNiLe, Whats's your problem man? Just play in a none ranked match. It keeps going unlike ranked matching. If you have friends then do that. Also, why do you want to play with freinds on ranked? Do want to pwn other people so you can get those good achievements and game points? Because as I said earlier play a none ranked match. It's 10 times better.

Ps. For the last time GEARS OF WAR IS NOT HALO!

So stop comparing. They don't GoW to be a Halo type clone. I'm happy with the game. The things they should fix before anything else, are the glitches. There are why to many still after the patch.

Now that I got that out of my system. I have an idea. Maybe have a type of service that you can view videos sort of like YouTube. But its from Xbox live users. I mean some people have a vision, or just let people put their videos on the service. Then people can actually save the videos they like on their hard drive to watch later, if they don't have internet. I mean how cool would that be to be able to watch someone do something incredible stupid. This would in my opinion compete with the youTube console fun that the Ps3 and the wii enjoy without the risk on the internet viruses.

Killer, So you don't mind playing a rank match with 3 other players on your team that you don't know, most likely sux, might not even have a headset to tell you someone is on your flank or vice versa, or better yet has a loud mouth, yells, screams, cusses, yells racial slurs, that walks away from his controller leaving you a man down or leaves in the middle of the match because he got mowed down one to many times with ease or whatever the reason may be, not a team player, takes your weapon you call out as the round starts, I can keep going on and on if you want. And they expect us to play like this and get 10,000 kills for the "Serious" achievement? I don't think so! I would be fine with it if they made it so you can play player matches and get all the achievements but they didn't, they all have to be ranked matches and played without people you know, that's bogus! The developers have a perfect example how a game should be made "Halo 2" and they all fall way short of even coming close.

It has nothing to do with being like Halo or not, even though it is like Halo. It is a tactical shooter that you need to work as a team to take out your opponent. How can you work as a team if you're playing with people you don't know can't talk to or just got the game not knowing what there doing? That is not fun and 99% of the people would agree with me.

Richard Mitchell, if you can, setup a poll to see who would like to play ranked games with people they don't know on there team or people they do know or just don't care because they don't have any friends anyway like Killer here supposedly.

And yes as a matter of fact, I do want to pwn other people so to get those good achievements and gamer points, that is the whole point of gaming is it not? So why not make it fair to get two teams stacked instead of how it is now with one team stacked. People are still getting together with there friends on GOW so there update taking out the host name didn't help all that much so basically the game is still broken. If you don't see a stacked team playing GOW then you're on crack. Plus it takes forever to get a game going compared to Halo unless you have friends that join in on your server.

Get a brain cell Killer.

Hmmm....another great come back from a person that really can't think of anything, so they start insulting people. Claps* I mean if you have a point to what you're saying, say it. seriously. How long did it take you to come up with the Get a brain cell insult. or was it just the first insult that came to mind becuase you know that your logic really doesn't have a concrete base to stand on.

I can guess you're the type of person, SeNiLe. That plays way to much. you have maxed out your freinds list becuase you're just like those friend whores on Myspace. You don't know more then half of the people on your list. You just wanted to add them becuase you played agianst them. Besides if you have so many freind why can't you get a Non-ranked match going faster then Halo2? halo is 8vs8 GoW is 4vs4 If you're having trouble finding people, That's sad. I can say that compared to Halo2 I am in a game faster for a Non-ranked match in GoW faster then Halo2.

"And yes as a matter of fact, I do want to pwn other people so to get those good achievements and gamer points, that is the whole point of gaming is it not?"

Well seeing that Achievement points and Gamerscores have never existed till the 360 came out. So no, it's not the reason people play games. They play it, becuase it's fun. I mean the reason people buy games is for the fun. (Except for some small percentage that are gamerscore addicts.) I mean it's crazy that someone would buy a game for the points. Not, becuase they thought the game was fun. I really hope that's not the case for you. If it is I feel sorry for you becuase you lost the true gamer inside by doing that.

Oh also. you adapt to the game. If someone leaves oh well. If you're truely good at the game then you can win. I have taken on 4 people by myself and won. That was even before they took the host name off, so yes, they were a stack team. You just need to suck it up and stop #@%&^ing about it. It doesn't help you win the game by #@%^&ing.

1) No microtransactions for Arcade games... one price for the game... additional content should be included in the first price. (I'm looking at you Lumines!)

2) Have an announcement board for game demos and videos, similar to the ones that announce new movies on the Marketplace.

3) If I purchase a TV show on Marketplace give me DRM content which I can use on my PC or Windows Mobile Systems... after all; I PURCHASED it... n'est pa?

4) Make 1 Microsoft point = 1 cent. I hate calculating the values of games, make it easy for me... $1 = 100 points. It's less confusing that way, and would encourage me to buy more if I knew the price immediately.

5) The raffle/giveaway for achievements sounds cool too. You should make it possible to win MS points just for hours played, achievements, etc... it increases your word-of-mouth sales, and online users (read subscribers).

Killer, "can't think of anything?" Who do you think you are? I said "If you don't see a stacked team playing GOW then you're on crack." so that is why I added the stupid insult of "Get a brain cell Killer.".

I will try to spell this out for you so you can understand this more clearly.

I W-A-N-T T-O P-L-A-Y G-O-W R-A-N-K-E-D W-I-T-H M-Y F-R-I-E-N-D-S

I have friends from almost 5 years that I still play with that I met on Xbox Live. We do NOT want to play player matches because they don't count toward your stats meaning they won't count toward your achievements. GOW ranked is broken and lopsided since you can stack a team if you know the host but it would be very hard to get your friends or a team playing against that stacked team since you can't see the host name anymore and even that makes it hard to get a whole team on each side since anyone can jump in the room at any given time filling it up before you get two teams together.

So do you get it now, NO one wants to play player matches, ever!!! OK, maybe not ever but most people will understand except for you. We want to play ranked matches ONLY since that is the only way to get the achievements in this game.

I am not a achievement whore per say but I might be becoming one to meet the qualification for the Level 3 Package. Don't know what I am talking about, read this:

http://www.joystiq.com/2007/02/06/microsoft-to-reward-xbox-live-achievers-with-freebies/

I really hope you got this now that I spelt it out for you. If not, break out the crack pipe and then reread it.

ok, so does this fit into the subject catagory? if it doesn't then it the subject needs to be enlarged.

I want to see my background picture!

I don't want to see advertisements on every blade of my xbox dashboard. what is up with the advertising? i already paid my subscription fees why do i still have 'superman returns' ads uglifying my screen?

and you know what, i want to customize my dashboard.

yeah, customization is in order. i've had a 360 long enough to know what the video button will do so i don't appreciate having to see the definition of it scrawled on the right side of the screen.

personally player matches are fine with me...i really think you have too much time on your hand to be so worried about such a trivial item like gears of ear ranked matches. epic made it that way....end of story. either play the game or don't, just please shut up and stay on topic next time.

I think they should have section packages for arcade games. Like say: Choose any 3 arcade games and get like 5 dollars off the final price of what I would be if you bought all three of them seperately.

to Senile:

if you need your friends to get ranked achievements, then complain away. If you just want to have fun with your friends play the regular way.

As for the topic; i'd like do away with the charge for cheats as well. Plus be more flexible with the video marketplace rules. i.e. 21 day/3 day rule up from 14/1.

I can't always watch something in one sitting due to family obligations. So I have to watch chunks.

I've always hated Gamerscore.

To me, it's completely meaningless.

Why?

The people developing the games are free to distribute the points however they want... this means that different games have VAST differences in the effort required to earn gamerscore points.

Call of Duty 2 required me to complete the TRAINING level to get 50 points... it took me just a few minutes.

Completing Perfect Dark Zero (the ENTIRE GAME) on Secret Agent gets you a beefy 15 points. If you beat it on dark (the hardest difficulty level - which I haven't), you get 50 points - the equivalent value to the TRAINING on CoD2.

Sound crooked to anyone else?

Here's what I'd like to see: a dynamic gamerscore weighting system. Here's what I mean:

Each game is given 1000 points to distribute, correct?
Creating some numbers... assume 50% of the people of the game get 300 of that 1000, 45% get 600, and the final 5% get all 1000.

If there are some achievements that virtually everyone get, then those achievements should be worth less. But maybe the game developers don't know in advance which they will be.

If the actual number of points given for an achievement changed based on how many people have it, then gamerscore would mean something.

Those achievements that everybody gets would be worth much less... automatically scaled down to, say, 15 points. But those elite achievements that only a handful of people EVER get... those would be worth 50, maybe 100, maybe more.

And if a lot more people get those high-end achievements, it'd re-balance all achievements.

It'd make gamerscores competative, and relative to effort invested, not at the whim of the developers. People who wanted to have top gamerscores would then have to constantly be going after those elusive achievements, because the achievements they'd gotten in the past would be worth less and less over time.

I can dream.

I have an idea, have all thet new downloads listed on the first blade instead of looking through the many menus to get to what you want.
Also make most of the extra content for games free, it does suck to have to pay for stuff that should have been in the game in the first place. Give some type of reward for every 15,000 gamescore points ( a tshirt that says 360, or wristband, or hat) i think xbox has the extra money, it kind of gives someting back to the people that purchase the $60 games on the regular. As a matter of fact every person that has had a gold live account for more than 2 years, should have a free xxl tshirt!! Put more types of music on the market place. put every type of trailer on xbox 360 games (and working titles) in the marketplace, it does get make a person upset to have to find other websites in order to get trailers on xbox 360 games!! Also at this point there should be a way to talk to all of your friends or at least 3 at a time over xbox live ( call it community chat feature), not just within a game.
p.s. for loyal xbox 360 fans
