Metal Gear Solid 4 Snake figure

Konami gives us a peek at Japanese toymaker Medicom's Metal Gear Solid 4 Snake figure. Standing at 12-inches tall, the figure is imbued with Medicom's RAH 301 technology, making Snake posable in a variety of realistic body stances. Art director Yoji Shinkawa oversaw production of the figure, which is scheduled to ship in November. Just in time for the game's release, eh?

Nice. Very Nice.

He looks like Gepetto in the face. Does something smell?
geves @ Feb 6th 2007 3:10AM
i wouldn't buy that thing with someone else's money.
good painting.. everything else about is crap IMHO.
the saddest part is that it'll probably be over $40, because they know that some people will pay that much for something as worthless as this.
what's with all the veins?
Nitroid @ Feb 6th 2007 3:43AM
Yeah, Konami revealed that this was being made shortly after the first MGS4 trailer was revealed back in '05, which is why the images don't reflect the more recent changes in Snake's outfit design.

I still don't get the "mullet".
I mean, i know it's a Snake Plissken reference and all, but come on, mullets are ghey since the 90's.
ss @ Feb 6th 2007 4:33AM
Nevermind the fact that only idiots wear (and ever wore) mullets.

I'm glad he's posable because if that main image was his only pose, I'd be asking "who made him hold the gun like a girl?"
Kojima @ Feb 6th 2007 5:29AM
I so want one of those Old Snake figures..I can't wait for the actual game to come out >
nithron @ Feb 6th 2007 7:07AM
I sure hope that mustache is removable.

I love mgs as much as the next guy, but I don't understand why the f**k would anybody want snake doll?
joystiq @ Feb 6th 2007 9:31AM
Yay for 10 year-old girl feet!

Cool figure, Medicom is the best in the business. The girly-gun-holding is actually that weird special forces technique that allows a person to keep the gun close to the body but still be ready to fire, with a quick tilt motion.
I'd be more worried about the girly pants combined with that Rip Taylor mustache!

This is damn near as bad as the recent Zelda figure. Long live the mullet!
Steven @ Feb 6th 2007 11:09AM
wow those graphics are great! PS3 rules!

It's NOT a doll! It's an ACTION figure! :P
marvin69 @ Feb 6th 2007 11:59AM
Does he come with a 84 Camaro?
bertram @ Feb 6th 2007 12:15PM
thank you poster 12, the first thing I noticed was the tiny girly feet.
LU @ Feb 6th 2007 12:37PM
@Geves - this will undoubtedly cost more than $40 - expect something close to $200. When Medicom made their last RAH (stands for Real Action Hero) figures from MGS3: Snake Eater, they were limited release and cost upwards of $200.
Manticon @ Feb 7th 2007 5:09AM
So just having longer hair now means you have a mullet ? Seriously, most of you need to go back and retake a look at what a mullet actually looks like, because snake does not have a mullet.
elektrokuter @ Feb 7th 2007 12:31PM
This thing looks sweet! Unfortunately like the other ones it will be really expensive.
killbob409 @ Apr 28th 2007 2:46PM
ya 19 is right he dos not have a mulet I dont like the doll any way I mean im not fond of snake being old. they should find a wat to keep him young or go with a more big boss solidus look. I saw a mgs3 prev why do they keep blond boy they made him better than snake. I mean you see snake run like hell from 2 robots and blond boy takes out like 8 all at once. I like the mgs3 doll the price sucks.
