Rumor: "Official" word on 120GB+HDMI 360?

Well, if this is an April Fool's joke in the making it would be in really bad taste. Make up something unexpected and outlandish. Telling people that they are going to get what we've been waiting for is in bad taste and not much of a joke. And hell, it will just make people more pissed about the small HD we all have.

Now a April Fool's saying something about a "new" XBox360 controller that is two separate pieces connected by a cable and each part is independently motion sensitive would be funny. Photoshopped images to prove it would be even better. It would definitely get the Wii fanboys screaming about YET ANOTHER idea being stolen from the Wii.

Wow. I have a feeling they won't sell the hard drive seperate. When they do bring it to the states though I hope they offer a trade-in program. I bet this one will simply become a more expensive SKU and that way Microsoft avoids a bunch of pissed off early adopters. Can't wait.

If MS does release this new 360 console, they should sell it for $399 (US) and drop the cost of the old premium and core systems. Would MS give any serious competition to Nintendo for the casual gamer if the core system was $249? BTW, I like the white 360, but black is beautiful! Notice the matte finish in the picture. No finger prints like the PS3.

I'll pay $580 if the HD-DVD is included.

This could explain why we haven't seen a stand alone bigger hard drive. They are waiting to introduce this baby.

Please start notifying people like johnny5 that a straight conversion from one currency to another NEVER represents the retail price.

Take Norway as an example. The 360 Premium is over 3000 NOK, which translates to around 500 USD. However, it's not that expensive for us because we make and spend way more money than in the US.

Wow, good thing this site has a market analyst. Really wasn't trying to predict a US retail price, just stating that I'd pay $580 for a 360 w/ a 120g hard drive, HDMI support, and an HD-DVD drive. Sorry if I offended any tourists.

BTW, Agreed Black 360's look nice. I would trade in my white one for a black 360 if they come out with that color.

If this does not Include a HD-DVD Drive than it is Too Much to Pay for A console. At least for what is listed. So I doubt the Validity of this Rumor.

I cannot see Microsoft Marketing a 360 for nearly as much as the More expensive PS3 (which includes BluRay) and not having a HD-DVD Drive Included...

The Black HDMI console, with a 120 gig hdd will be in the states in April. The price point is not confirmed. That is the same time Micr*soft will announce their line of 'black peripherals'. At the same time, there will be a 'demo' Halo 3 video disc, with some exclusive Red vs. Blue videos, also on there. The next month, May, is when the Halo 2, Xbox 360 only map pack will come out. As well, there will be a demo Halo 3 PLAYABLE disc. The White HDMI will not be out until July/August.

would happily wait for the new 360 until i get one. Im waiting for the new one, that's the reason i ain't got one. If they don't hury up i might just get a ps3 just for the sake of it. Oh yeah if i moved to America i would have like double my money ennit? i live in england. It snowed today!!!

It is. It remains to be seen what price this rumored, unannounced 360 will be, let alone the real specs.

I'm in AU and this is the first i have heard of it but bloody hell i want one! i may investigate as i work across the road from Myer!
