Xbox 360 has weakest exclusives says GamePro

For the PS3 these are the games that will sell the console for me if they appear... I need at least 2 of these released to warrent a purchase - if not then I'm sticking with PC gaming. Though many of you complain about the PC and upgrading, I don't have that issue. Its easy and anyone can do it. Just use your brain. Of course we're talking about America here :X Anyway PS3 sold if these are released:

Final Fantasy XIII
Final Fantasy Versus XIII
Metal Gear Solid 4
Soul Calibur 4 (3 was ps2 exclusive, 2 was multi-console)
Devil May Cry 4
Driver 5 (there's a chance - loved them all except Parallel Linese)
Gran Turismo 5 (Ferrari!)
Killzone 2
Silent Hill 5
Zone of the Enders 3?

I'm sure I'm missing a lot of games, but MOST of the games I want I have on PC: Age of Empires, Eve Online, Gothic 3, Counter Strike: Source and Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter to name a few. Also expecting Crysis, Alan Wake and HL2: Episode 2 to change my world.

And once again Dead or Alive is hardly a fighter. And if it is, its too dumb to be considered B, much less an A+ exclusive.

The PS3 only has MGS and GT. Sure i expect both to be great and i would like to buy a PS3 in 2008, but only 2 so far, MotorStorm sucks and resistance is mediocre at best.

Yeah, i know Saints Row will be coming to the PS3 but it's already out on the 360. For a while.

You guys can keep listing that same excellent 360 release list over and over but understand one thing. PS3 Fanboys and Wiitards won't read it! They will just flack it off and talk about their lineup. As someone has done earlier in this blog, list all the games coming to the all 3 consoles and tell me which one looks better! Its obviously the 360 and if you say anything else you are clueless. And I have to laugh at the person comparing the DS to the 360.. Damn you Ninty Fanboys and PS3 fanboys are desperate to make the 360 look bad anyway you can. The 360 is owning 07, so just keep on fooling yourself. And as I've said before I have a PS3 and it gets no love since I've gotten tired of RFOM, well maybe a little Motorstorm :) but Crackdown has been owning me lately.. But that's just another exclusive to the 360 so I'm sure it sucks right?

that's all I can think of off the top of my head I'm sure there are many more...clearly some of the PS3 games are going to be good but just this short list tells the whole story. The good stuff on PS3 will largely be on 360 but 360 will have tons of great exclusives. They have more money than Sony, they can buy any developer they want. They could buy Sony if they wanted to. I guess we'll see in a year or so when xbox has 20+million 360's sold and PS3 has 5-10million who wants to make games for who.

I actually said what "new" games....Oblivion isn't "new"....Lair is...Motostorm is...and the games like SSB is Small arms, Heavy weapon is like Metal Arms but better, first price drop for PS3 I'm there (I'll have a bunch of good games to play on it by then I'm sure)..just not much need for one now since I'm enjoying my PS2 for all the old titles, my 360 for HD gaming, and my Wii for plain old fun

GamePro listed Ratchet & Clank, but ignored Banjo Kazooie. They listed Ninja Gaiden Sigma, but Ignore Ninja Gaiden 2??? They listed "Naughty Dog project" but ignore Bioshock and Mass Effect?? They also ignore Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey??

They don't mention any of the following exclusive titles for Wii:
Dragon Quest Swords, Animal Crossing Wii, FF: Crystal Chronicles, Fire Emblem, Prince of Persia, Sadness, Super Paper Mario, Project H.A.M.M.E.R., or Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles

GamePro = steaming pile of fanboy shit

I like how their section about the Wii doesn't actually list a single Wii title. It just says there are a lot of exclusive games coming up and then mentions some PS3 and 360 games. They didn't even touch upon Nintendo's Big 3 (Brawl, Galaxy, and Corruption), let alone the Wii's third party exclusives.

I think it's funny how some people are annoyed that some 360 games are hitting the PC too. There's a big difference between playing Half Life 2 on my $1,800 gaming setup (HDTV and 360 Premium) and on my $1,800 computer, which was NOT designed for gaming.

Not all of these are exclusives, because when I copied, the bold didn't show. But PS3 is getting good games and exclusives. The only ones I know are certain are the exclusives from SCEA, and some others.

i don't get why we act like PC games compete with console games

they are two separate markets

that's why it's silly to say that a game like Halo or BioShock isn't exclusive to 360 just because it's coming to the PC as well

the PC market simply doesn't count when we're discussing console exclusivity

Gamepro is like the Highlights for Children of gaming magazines. They give every single game at least a 4/5. It is the biggest joke of a magazine I've ever seen.

Didn't we decide to start saving trees from this garbage producing publisher? There's a lot of now exclusives from third parties bailing out or postponing the PS3 releases too.

I never get why people say that Microsoft has no exclusives. I'm not a Fanboy, I think all systems are great in there own way, but to flat out ignore Fable 2, Forza Motorsport 2, Mass Effect, Alan Wake, Bioshock, Project Gotham Racing 4, Amped 4, Rallisport Challenge 3, Splinter Cell 5, Crackdown, Blue Dragon, Too Human, Lost Odyssey, GRAW 2, Banjo Kazooie, Dead or Alive 5, Ninja Gaiden, Gears of War 2, Halo Wars etc. etc. is just Assinine. I also know that not all of the games I listed here are announced, but it's just common sense that they're on their way.

Amped 3 was PURE fun. I played it on a friend's NTSC U console while it was still alive. It could easily beat off those non-serious Wii stuff out now. And that's for a launch.

@107 : Actually yes, they do compete. The reason I don't have a 360 is because it doesn't have enough *really* exclusive titles that interest me. "Console exclusive" means nothing to me if I can get the exact same title on my PC.
