Not particularly fond of the genre or any of that, but I do say I like the idea behind the music actually playing a role in the fighting sequences.
Pretty interesting.
I would play a demo, but I probably wouldnt buy it

Just played the demo and is total crap , dont waste your money , get DOA4 , Street Fighter or wait for Virtua Figther.

i havent tried the game yet, that said you cant compare this game to doa or VF. its the only one of its kind. im into hip hop, and the music in the game is such a good idea.

This game sucks... I just played the demo and i would rather streets of rage for the super nintendo before i play this again. this game is slow in the control area the areas seem really small and not interesting. seems like def jam vendetta fight for ny was 10x better even with out the nice beautiful graphics... And the music controls just make the game broken like thats the only way to win matches... seems like the game will be a special niche for gamers... definitley not a wrestling game but definitely not a fighting game... just my two cents ne one feel the same

I just played a few times and I've gotta say, taking Aki out of the picture was a huge mistake for this series. No blazin' moves (as far as I can tell), no four player brawling, no over the top moves that make you cringe, no indication that the fight is over when it is over (sometimes my opponent didn't even fall over).

All this game is, is Fight Night: Def Jam Edition. Similar controls as FNR3, focusing on strikes instead of grapples, and with the inclusion of the 'turntable' special move (which I admit is kind of fun, but not worth the price of removing everything else.)

It's pretty, the music is "bumping", but I want Def Jam Fight for New York 2, not this.

I completely agree with Modeps !!

specially about this looking like Fight Night, it really feels different then the DJ FFNY.

I'm a big fan of the Def Jam series, but this demo does not convince me much... I hope they still improve on this game.

Interesting concept, *terrible* music.
Too bad, let's wait for another "version" with some good stuff instead of this... =]

Looks slow and plays slow, and yes as stated before a good kick in the wazoo to whoever approved this garbage to be put on a 360 console. (death to ps3, and make it slow please)
