Hmmm, I've never been into PC gaming all that much, never played anything beyond Worms Armageddon or flOw, but this game looks really interesting. I'll admit I know very little about current pc-requirements for games (it used to be just "have enough ram") but now there's video card to consider and graphics trash that I can't really get into. So I need help from my fellow Joystiq-ers. I have a laptop that I'd like to play this on (I know, LAPTOpS ARenTS Forz GamINGz!!11!!1!) and this game looks to have relatively low requirements, but again, I have no idea. My laptop is a 6-month old Gateway Platinum with "integrated graphics" which hurts I'm sure, and 2gig of ram and the Intel Centrio Duo processor. Bottom line, can I rock this game?

It has really low requirements because it looks terrible. You can rock this game, but would you want to?

I'm going to keep my eye on Pirates of the Burning Sea, instead. Since as it appears, this game is going to suck royally.

Pirates of the Burning Sea looks impressive on both a visual standpoint and a gameplay standpoint. Again, I haven't seen Pirates of the Caribbean in motion, but I have seen PotBS in motion and it's visually impressive, for sure.

ScreamingSkull - As much as I love to rock a GoW or Resistance in HD and be awed by the talent the graphic artists have, I still sit down and play Syphon Filter on PS1 and get just as much enjoyment out of it, not to beat a dead horse that's been run over by the NVIDIA train, but Fun > Graphics and this game looks like it can deliver at least enough fime-wasting enjoyment to warrant a 9.95 trial for a month.

God, as an environmental artist, I am positively annoyed by what they consider decent. I mean, in that one shot alone, I can spot 8 mapping errors.

Yeah but Myke... This game isn't syphon filter or FFVII. It just looks like a very bad, quickly made, low art budget, trash MMO.

IMHO anyways.

Because all the crappy-graphics simple-gameplay one defining feature MMOS being imported from Asia ( designed for lan cafe play, hence small downloads, low system requirements, and craptabulously bad graphics) are doing so well that american developers need to emulate them, right?
