based on the halo 3 documentary on the marketplace, it doesn't appear that bungie was using motion capture for Halo 3. I wonder if the animations will look bad next to gears.

The man featured in both pictures is none other than Richard Dorton, the video game worlds number one mocap actor, nothing short of a treat to work with.

considering what has been shown of halo3 were EARLY ALPHA screens and video shots this tells nothing of its final release and how it will work vs gears and how it will look or if it will use mocap....

Things like mocap animations can be hotswapped in later in the development stages (like now) thats why the last few months of a games development are the most crucial

The article states that this mocap session and the talks of motion capture have been for "Halo Wars". Not Halo 3, would you really notice mo-cap animations in a RTS game?

too bad that "Real Time" view of the models in game would be running at about 7 frames a second, and be completely worthless to see in the capture session.
