@49

This is a trend that has always been in gaming. But as I pointed out earlier, old games were much less complicated, but even they had bugs. They just didn't get fixed before. Now with the addition of hard drives and internet connections to consoles, why not fix the bugs? Yes, you may have developers that abuse the ability and don't concentrate and squashing bugs as much as they should, but I think you'll find that even games that are heavily beta tested will often need patches. I don't care how thoroughly you beta tested a game, having a limited group of people testing your software is not going to catch everything that having 100,000 people playing your game will find.

The bugs we are seeing are obvious bugs. Bugs they know about. I refuse to believe they didn't know about the offline bug, that patch came really quick. The games lately that have been patched are issues the majority of the users notice right out of the box. Yeah we know bugs and glitches have always been there just not this obvious

Freelancepimp says:
"there has always been bugs and glitches but these are not the cool kinds that people actaully try to do or recreate. These actaully affect gameplay. This used to outrage reviewers. Remember Turok 2 and the Matrix."

I do remember those. I owned both of them and the glitches made the games nearly unplayable. I wish they had had a way of patching console games back then. this is a GOOD change

"But its things like this (amongst other things I won't go into not get off subject) that keep me from running out and getting an Xbox360 since it is at a fairly affordable price."

the availability of an optional patch (which you clearly have access to) is keeping you from buying a game system?

what bugs are you seeing? I thought you didn't have a 360

a bunch of people refused to believe that Iraq had no ability to attack America 4 years ago, but did that make it any less true?

Is there any way to play the multiplayer offline?
My friend and I are sitting here wondering how the hell to do it, we both have xbox live accounts, but we can't join the same game on the same xbox. Can you do splitscreen, and if you can, how?
