NBA Street-branded Air Jordans
EA and Nike have teamed up to do the limited-edition Air Jordan thing. 100 pairs of these decidedly un-street, Street-branded kicks will be manufactured -- 60 pairs apparently set aside for an online contest next week.Part of the Jordan "B'Loyal" line, the shoes were designed by EA in black nubuck leather with blue stitching. Note the speckled mid-sole accent. Ooohhh... Awww...

Are air jordans even cool anymore?
Einhanderkiller @ Feb 12th 2007 7:23PM
It would seem so.
I personally think they're ugly.
silkylove @ Feb 12th 2007 7:36PM
O_o I wonder how much those will fetch on ebay.

I am an avid Jordan collector and now I have to play a game I was hardly interested. LOL! No but seriously, these are going to fetch a pretty penny on ebay for the lucky 60 that can win a pair.
@#1 Jordan Brand sneakers are the number one selling shoe every year. In fact, the Jordan XXII is scheduled to release next week. Just check ebay the day after they release for some shocking inflation in effect.

"B'Loyal"? If I'm going to pay out the wazoo for a pair of shoes, they better not skimp on vowels.

Joystiq should lock comments on this story before it gets out of hand.

How did a story about shoes turn into an ignorance and biggotry contest?
P.S. If you think black people are the only ones buying Jordans then you are a fool. Nike has made billions off Jordan.

Jordans are still cool....just like america is still a racist ...
Dwalk @ Feb 12th 2007 9:07PM
What is this 1955? Stop with this racist bullshit
Bowie @ Feb 12th 2007 9:06PM
It saddens me to see that there is still racism today. Everytime Joystiq posts a blog about something realting to hip-hop, basket ball, or rap, people always bring this up. Just goes to show that the immaturity of the people using the internet is still declining.
Now, I would say a bunch of empty threats and cussin at people, but online it doesnt work since you can't back it up.
Yes. Joystiq, please lock the comments before this gets out of hand.

Anyone know how i could get a pair of these? I have always wanted jordans and i like these. Anyways i hope their is some non crazy expensive way to get them.

Well racism still exists. I get called a "Nigger" often playing with little kids on Gears of War. It doesn't discourage me though, I just play, and use my superior online skills. It does hurt my feelings, but its just a sad fact of life that unfortunately I, like many others have to deal with. People are always going to hate things which they do not understand or fear. The thought that racism has just vanished after the Civil Rights Movement is false. Its still there...just look closely.
