I would, the co-op and vs. sound like a lot of fun. I'm not sure what I'd pay yet.. $60ish would be alright in my book, but I know that's probably on the low side.

$60 is how much the wired controllers are going to be according to Gamestops website.. So I'd imagine a wireless one would be $25 more or so.

Well, considering I've already pre-ordered a dual guitar package from RedOctane I would probably stay out of the wireless realm. For now. The cords never bothered me playing it on my nephew's PS2 and I don't have tons of room so being more than a cord's length away is pointless for me.

If they announce a dual-wireless guitar pack *before* launch...I might have to upgrade my order though... (^_^)

It would be great if perhaps they had a special promotion where you could purchase the wireless guitar direct from their online store and receive a discount based off of proof of purchase.

If the promotion was ran at the release of GH2 offering say a 25% discount on those who purchase the title before a certain date, they could either issue a coupon OR as I said above offer the discount by buying the new guitar from them. Heck slide a coupon in the first batch going to market here in late March to be used in the event they actually get the wireless to market.

It would drive up what will probably be high volume sales at launch and it offers a bit of a 'thank you' to the folks buying the title at launch.

I think the discount idea would work best because you know that within a month of the release of the wireless version, they will start selling the wireless in the full GH2 version for at most $20 than the current price.

Does that mean the early adopters should get a second axe for $20...no, that again is why a discount would be a fair trade.

I would say a retail on the axe for around $69.99 would be expected. Possibly $89.99.

In a micro-second!! I would keep the other Guitar for friends that come over but MS needs to get this done, if not for the company for the fans that will be supporting this game until the next-next generation gets here!!

I hope that it does'nt need to go through any MS process like the demo's have to or we'll be waiting until the cows come home!!

I don't see what the big deal is. Real guitars have cords.

Um, real guitars have wireless, FiredCylinder. They haven't used wired for 20 years. LOL

I'd pay about $60 for it. Which I think is high and a definite testament to This-Gen pricing. Just look at the wireless guitar for GHII on the PS2, it's, like, $49.99. Essentially this is the exact same thing with some altered guts and buttons, yet it's getting a price push because everything is getting more costly to make except for the hardware, which means they boost the cost of the hardware accessories to make back what they lost in Console Hardware.

I am interested in a wireless guiter, but will wait and see. By the time it comes out, I may be sick of GH2. The wire might not even bother me. I really don't know.

Damn if that isn't a fine example of graphic design photoshoping.

Also, I'd pay... nothing to get a wireless. I'll wait till it's included in the normal pack to get GHII, as it's mostly for my friends to have fun with when they are over, as I am horrible at the game.

Hmmm... I'm not even interested in the wired version... muchless a more expensive wireless.

How about a wireless tilt sensor so I can play Marble Blast Ultra with uber-accuracy? :)

yeah man, real guitars do have wires (wireless guitars are just for weirdos that like to dance around, idk. not really a justifier), but real guitars don't have buttons you press down on to make a note. no one's buying this game as an accurate simulation. it's more of a mario kart than a forza motorsport. it's all about the fun. so frankly, there's no reason the controller can't be wireless.

$39.99 USD. Anything more than that and I'll just put off the initial purchase of the game for a re-release w/ the wireless gitter.

King724, The PS2 version has a southpaw setting that reverses all the buttons so you can turn the guitar upside down and play left handed. I dont think there is any reason to think that this version wont have the same thing.

Jared,
The *wired* controller cost more than 40 beans. What makes you think that a wireless one will be cheaper?

King724,
The 360 version axe is also made for wrong-handed people, so I imagine that a wireless controller would also be cool with south paws.

I pre-ordered the dual-guitar version from Red Octane, so unless the details get hammered out before launch for a wireless version, I'll have to wait until GH3 to go wireless.

ewww. releasing wireless guitars after the wired ones would be a slap in the face to all the fans who are obviously going to buy this ASAP.

the wireless guitars need to be an add-on. i'm thinking a little white box that plugs into the existing power port and more or less blends in with the contours of the guitar.

^^ That's what I was thinking, make it like a REAL wireless guitar.

Have it be a small white box, but with a groove around it (like on a vacuum cleaner) to wrap the cord around and the controller cord plugs into it.

Also totally have like these little locks that keep the cord on the box.

Righteous.

wired xbox 360 controller is 29.99 and wireless is 39.99 = 10$ difference. would seem appropriate to do the same with the guitars, 10$ more for the wireless.
