AOU 2007: Silent Hill to frighten arcade-goers

You wouldn't want to have your pants scared off in a public place, would you? Well, Konami doesn't care: pay your money, take your choice. Silent Hill: The Arcade, unveiled today at AOU 2007, replicates the chilling atmosphere of your darkened living room with... a little black curtain. Sneak between the drapes and you'll find what Famitsu is calling a "gun action shooting game." We'll bring you more details of this intriguing light-gun game just as soon as we get our trousers back on.

God I wish America had Arcades again... well maybe some parts do, but not many, and not near me. Arcades are an easy way to hang out and not drink and smoke. and i love games!!

Minneapolis just got a Dave and Busters. Haven't been there yet, but I considered it a good sign. I haven't seen a new arcade go up anywhere in ages. They're always getting replaced.

The new Dave and Busters is pretty sweet. There is a Gameworks downtown in Block E as well, as you probably know. It seems like most of the arcades now have to also have bowling alleys, alcohol, pool tables, etc. to get by. Just having the arcade machines doesn't work in the US anymore.
