It used to be that a studio would pay YOU to do voice overs. Genius.

I think we can all be rest assured there will be a HALO 4
If you have a game Franchise that is your biggest seller, you dont just stop making the game because the story is a "trilogy" You keep going because there is a profit to be made.

I think in one of the games 343 Guilty Spark mentions that there's nine rings, plus Earth is the ark. Two rings down, seven to go. I think that translates into quite a few sequels, and good, I say. Halo is a great franchise, and they did a great job satisfying the hype last time around.

hahaha,

OF COURSE there will be a halo 4.
Bungie employees could all poop in a game case and it would sell in the millions.
Hell, they could even make a metal cased special edition, with the making of included (read: ExLax).

Supremely annoying ticky-tack FYI:

I've been doing voiceover for 24 years, and "voiceover" is how I've always written and seen it written (sans hyphen). The post is correct, at least as far as industry folks are concerned.

Bungie never said the series would end. what they did say is that halo 3 is the last of that specific story arc. there were originally 7 halos. One has been destroyed, Delta Halo hasn't been destroyed but it triggered the Ark. In the books they also talk about Guardian Worlds. My guess is that Halo 4 will probably involve another spartan, or it could be a complete Covenant game, who knows.

As long as frat boys keep running out and buying Halo in the millions, obviously Bungie will keep making them. After the incredible innovation of dual wield offered in Halo 2, I wonder what kind of revolutionary ideas will appear in Halo 3 -- maybe a gun that could see and shoot through walls? Yes, that's never been done! AUTOMATIC QUADRUPLE PLATINUM STATUS GUARANTEED!

Pikachelsea. No one cares. And keep your shallow PA-inspired opinion to yourself. The Halo franchise targets anybody between the age of 12 to 40. People like you don't care to play or understand Halo due to it's media cravedattention, because your favorite franchise is currently in the shadow of Halo's popularity. Halo brought forth not just an excellent use of gameplay, visuals, controls, and even audio. There are plenty of innovations donated to video game history within the franchise. Proximity voicing, REAL dual-wielding, matchmaking lists, the party system, intuitive use of clan, customization, & interface tools, and so much more.

Bungie deserves the attention they get, they put a lot of effort into the Halo/Marathon universe, and their Halo/Marathon games. If you at least read one of the novels, you'd understand. It's all based on the "Halo Bible". But you are too busy playing rehased GameCube games with tacked-on Wiimote controls, made up of predictable characters with typical upside down letters to distinguish "difference".

And to get back on topic, Halo 4 is probably just a title they use for whatever Halo game their voice cameo may appear in. Whether it's Halo Wars, the Untitled Wingnut Interactive game, or maybe even Halo prequel based on the Fall of Reach ten years from now.

from bungie

The cameo is for Halo 3, and the timeframe is tight, although the “wit” who wrote the eBay copy originally joked that if you don’t make the session in time, you’d have to end up in Halo 4. Note that was NOT an announcement, but rather a sad clunker of a gag. However, it’s all for a good cause, so if you’ve got pockets as deep as your voice, then head over to the eBay auction HERE and remember, we’re not running this auction, Hollywood Arts is. Through eBay. But it’s your chance for legendary status.

Bungie have repeatedly said Halo 3 will be the last in the Halo series as it stands. It ends the current story arc.

Halo Wars and Peter Jackson's Halo game are still to be released, but they aren't part of the current Halo series' storyline.

indeed. halo 3 is the last to be made by bungie. thats why u see "finish the fight. 2007" everywhere.

there will be no halo 4. Ensemble studios is making halo wars which will be a RTS designed around the console so it should be sweet.

and peter jackson is supposed to make a movie soon. he also hinted at wingnut studios making a new type of interactive gameplay type that we havnt seen b4 also based on halo.

sorry, im a bungie stalker.

sorry but i cant help but notice some of the comments on here. Halo 3 is the last of the story arc. Bungie has been asked if there will be more halos, they haven't confirmed a new Halo, but they haven't denied that they may use a different story arc in the Halo Universe. It'll still be halo, but it may not focus on MC

i think the line up as it stands is good. i think halo 3 should end the halo verse as we know it as far as the human covenant war. halo wars doesnt count cause its RTS and is in a WAY different category. i think the fps of halo should maby be done. cause i cant stand to see halo 6 that will dissapoint. bungie is among the top developers in the world for a reason and every sequal gets better. but it might just become EA in 3 more years. u can only take a series so far before u reach a pinacle.

madden games, ww2 shooters, racing games, star wars games. they reach a certain point were u cant take them any farther.

on second though no. i cant live without the best fps series in existence. dont ever leave me halo. dont make me go play MGS4 ;)
