The PS3 doesn't get a lot of list love. The latest "dis list" entry for the mighty monolith is SmartMoney's "Top 5 Gadgets You Shouldn't Buy" round-up. The PS3 comes in at a strong #2 and is cited for its intial release problems, price tag and paltry game library:"While the game system's initial bugs (games freezing and problems with set up) appear to be fixed thanks to a recent upgrade, there are still a couple of reasons to hold off owning one. Specifically, there are a limited number of new games available and the system carries a steep price tag."
Putting the PS3 against the ropes with that initial low-blow, SmartMoney proceeds to kick Sony in the nads by declaring Blu-Ray (tied with HD DVD) as the #1 gadget to avoid. Ouch.
Personally, I am loving Blu-ray (and the PS3 overall). I have a hard time buying regular DVDs these days. The difference is just amazing.
