Its cool that all those members are being re-intergrated. But what isnt cool is that resident evil 5 is going to be amazing killer app. While the resident evil for the Wii will just be a comp with motion controls tacked on. BOOOO CAPCOM! Lets all bug them to release an original RE for Wii!

no do remakes of all re games from the ground up

1,2,3,4 code veronica re outbreak 1 and 2. even though re 4 was on gamecube, remake it use the extra graphic powr of the wii, and some new content to the games . even go with some multiplayer aspects to all of the games like ds did with re 1.

sell these games as a special box set for resident evil as well as separate

A rehashed RE game on Wii will still be way better than an original 360 or PS3 game with amazing HD visuals. Didn't you know, the Wii has motion sensing controls. It is the future of gaming.

So I'm guessing that since RE5 features things like destructable environments and realistic hair, it's only going to make it to the 360 and PS3?

Pc gaming is overrated. Beyond Starcraft there hasn't been anything worthwhile on the PC that cant be made for consoles.

Remakes have been done to death so far in the RE franchise. RE was remade, as was RE: Code Veronica, and of course ports galore. RE 5 is still too early for a remake of that. Perhaps a remake later in the 360's and ps3's lifespan might work, but as of yet, it's been only a year or two since release...

@IronHide

"Remakes have been done to death so far in the RE franchise. RE was remade"

But the Orginal RE remake for the gamecube, was a lavish remastering of the orginal. The updated graphics and additions to the storyline not only continued the scares from the orginal, but I feel actually increased them. If all remakes were of this level I'd say remake each and every last RE.

Remake doesn't have to be a dirty word for gamers if they remember to polish what the orginal had and make slight aditions and tweaks to add to game.

they never remade re code veronica

it was justa port

the ps2 version is the same game as the dreamcast except a couple of extra cut scenes

and re 1 has only been remade once

the ds version is just the original ps1 re1 with a multiplayer mode

I must ask. These members of clovers. Are these the innovator people behind closer or just merely.. the coders.

Remember. The innovators actually come up with the gameplay mechanics that make games fun. The coders just simply.. code.. and do what the innovators tell them to do.

So don't get to excited about this article. Those "members" could be just the "coders"

My only concern is that if the [talented] clover developers who left Capcom were going to work on RE 5, then that game may suffer from their departure.

Resident Evil 5: 2009 GOTY.

Charles Bellfield is doing damage control guys. I mean as far as we know, the members of Clover reintegrated into Capcom's other teams consisted of the guys that got Mikami, Inaba, and Kamiya their coffee each morning :-)

Most (if not all) Phoenix Wright games are already available in english in their original GBA versions. What Capcom has been doing is just taking those GBA games and adding little interface things to utilize the DS capabilites.

Uh, no. The Gyakuten Saiban (Phoenix Wright) games were avaible in JAPANESE. Only on the DS versions are they localizing for out of Japan. It's the Japanese that are getting gyped. We're the ones that are making out like bandits.

As far as i know, Umbrella Chronicles takes some of the best areas from the 4 Resident Evil games, running them with the RE4 engine, and making them Remote compatible

Sure, its not RE5, but it will be a glorious game in its own right

Speaking of which, when are the metacritic scores for Sonic and the Secret Rings coming out? Those are usually released the first day, and today is the shipment date. I'm only curious because this is the first sonic game that has a strong possibility of being enjoyable by people other than me and the other masochists who enjoyed the 3D Sonics

Hey everybody, Rubang B here. I haven't played a single Resident Evil in my life. I have a Wii, and my roommate has a PS2. Which GC/PS2/Wii game would be a good starting point for me?

I think that it became obvious that they were going to localize Gyakuten Saiban 3, when they started calling the series "Ace Attorney" in the states.
