Konami brings Yoga Training to the DS
Don't get too excited. First off, you're not actually going to learn how to spit fire or stretch your limbs beyond the limits of your frame. You're not even going to learn how to perform that incredibly slow, practically useless air-throw super Dhalsim has sported since Street Fighter Alpha 2.But if you can read Japanese (or in this case, French) and feel like getting limber, Konami will be there to lend a helping hand with Yoga Training for the Nintendo DS. Queue up the "non-game lulz" comments and consider just how important the DS is becoming in Japanese society.
Yoga Training will have folks standing on their head this Spring.

Hmmm... it's wierd that this article comes up now because after failing like 15 times in a row on one of the operations on Trauma Center (it's the puzzle one where you have to keep zooming in and out and cutting out parts of the tumor/crystal thing) I really really feel the need to bend my DS in ways it wasn't meant to bend.

Interesting. Personally I'm glad to see this kind of non-gaming content for the DS. It just opens it up to new markets and gives companies a reason to make more content for the system.
Myke I feel your pain. Have you learned out to play using two styluses yet? I'm still working on that but it helps a lot.

Funny thing is a lot of the more fun games for the PSP aren't rated MA and by the way did you actually bother to read this or did you just see the keywords "yoga" and "ds" in the title?

@StMadnes
You seem to say Thank God for the PSP as if you were insecure with your purchase. Hey man just because you decided to get a PSP and most of the games aren't talked about as much. Don't take it out on the many new number of games coming on the DS, just because developers rather spend there money the right way. Don't let me get started on how the DS OWNS the PSP.
Kannon @ Feb 24th 2007 12:30PM
Those of you DS haters (for whatever reason) obviously dont understand how much money comes from making these types of games. The casual nongamer market is by far the most likely to pick this game up not the fat pimplefaced Sony only gamer. Like Jared said, the DS is part of Japanese society and it seems as important to them as television and books, so why not exploit that for profit, I know I would.
Drew2u @ Feb 24th 2007 7:38AM
I'd buy it if it were translated.
Interactivity like this is much more stimulating than reading a book, which is why I'm all in favor of language learning packages sold through the DS.
Spencer @ Feb 23rd 2007 9:21PM
Yeah, I would love to learn Japanese playing my DS.
And I would buy this game if I could read Japanese.

"Don't let me get started on how the DS OWNS the PSP."
I was sucked into the DS hype and got one in the end of 2005. Pretty soon after it was gathering dust in the closet because there wasn't (and still isn't) any good games for it.
No, I'm not into this "XYZ training" shit and I hate the way how Nintendo just spews out rehashes of their franchises all over again. New Super Mario Bros anyone? Good god, where's the much touted innovation?
I also find the touch screen pretty much gimmicky when it comes to *real* games. Interestingly, the best real DS games are the ones which do not use the touch functionality, or use it very little.
PSP, on the other hand, is starting to look very interesting by now: MGS, Syphon Filter, Daxter, Ratchet & Clank, maybe even LocoRoco etc... The only thing holding me back is the rumours about a new version.
Oh, one last thing: DS is owning PSP in Japan only. In all other areas PSP is doing just fine.
reppy @ Feb 24th 2007 1:54PM
You don't like the game? Sweet. Then don't buy it. No one is putting a gun to your head.
Willardo @ Feb 24th 2007 3:42PM
I might be a fanboy joujou, but if you don't like the DS then you just don't like gaming.
Scott Hughes @ Feb 26th 2007 2:31PM
I'm really into Yoga, so I'll have to check out this game.
