I'm afraid it's simply an impossibility. Reasoning? Well, have you seen games nowadays? There are people finding things MONTHS after the games release. And in a game like Oblivion or Spore? Forget about it.

Like I told someone before. Toss them a puzzle-game ala Tetris and tell them to rate it when they've beaten the game.

Losing doesn't count as beating it either.

We all know it's simply rated E, but we can't be sure until it's completely played through...

Or, just toss them a copy of Diablo and ask them to rate it after they've gone through every randomization of every level.

This does not explain the fact that the ESRB's procedure and guidelines are not transparent.

@jkid... oh, absolutely you are correct, and I don't mean to imply that they are. The ESRB *has* made positive progress. However, they still have issues (such as the one you mention) that cause concern to some observers.
