Today's tabbiest game video: Wiiminder -- enhanced Wii browsing
Our sister site Nintendo Wii Fanboy has already reported on the niftiness and tabbed browsing offered by Wiiminder, but we thought we'd offer it up as today's video of the day. The really cool thing is that this is just the tip of the iceberg for things that users will be whipping up for the Wii. Very impressive.
We have no doubt that custom sites and homebrew efforts for the Wii will slowly take over the entire planet, so just prepare for the Wii-shrines to be erected all over the place. Wii-motes left and right, mass hysteria. You have been warned.

Warp Pipe Technologies released this, their first product several years after the pointless DemaSked and AhhhChooo!! hype.

This is almost as old as the cheese in my closet...
In completely unrelated news, what stinks??

Looks pretty slick.

Holy crap, now that http://www.finetune.com/wii site isn't going to pointlessly suck up the electricity of the big screen while only playing music. I can listen while I surf!

Heh, I recently made a gaming video... I think it's pretty sweet :)

Browsing in 480p is soooo 1980... they should have a monochrome and screen distortion hack as well.
Ikitsumatatsu @ Feb 23rd 2007 9:35AM
ha ha ha, oh wow.

I want to take Wiiminder behind the middle school and get it pregnant.

Ive used the internet on my Wii exactly ZERO times. Its a fairly useless "use it because I want my Wii to be useful" feature. Much like all those other silly channels Nintendo keeps churning out, instead of games making for the damn system, since it has no real games. Unfortunately, my Wii will continue gathering dust until Nintendo gets with the program and quits with the tech demos.
Intentless @ Feb 23rd 2007 11:47AM
Sorry genius that the feature is useless for you. For myself I find it to be incredibly useful.
ck @ Feb 23rd 2007 11:50AM
Yeha, Genius, just because your not the target demographic for some of the channels doesn't mean they useless. I don't check out the news so much, but I do go to the weather channel and everybody votes channel pretty much everyday. And since I only have one computer, it's nice that both my wife and I can browse at the same time if we need to.

Yeah I find the wii browser to be very useful (my wife is a full time student that uses the pc most of the time) and look foward to some of the problems being worked out. Like support for what happens when a link opens up a new window. Right now its pretty broken. Wiiminder is great but it still doesn't fix this problem.
airpolgas @ Feb 23rd 2007 3:23PM
I find the Opera Browser for the Wii useful as well. After dinner, putting the kids to bed, and catching up on shows, I surf using the Wii. It's good for most of the sites I visit, like this one and some other blogs.

These are Nintendo's games just for this year as announced by Nintendo for Japan.
1.Dairantou Smash Brothers X (Super Smash Bros. Brawl)
2.Disaster: Day of Crisis
3.Donkey Kong Taru Jet Race (DK Bongo Blast)
4.Doubutsu no Mori [Animal Crossing]
5.Forever Blue
6.Hoshi no Kirby (Kirby Adventure)
7.Mario Party 8
8.Mario Strikers Charged
9.Project H.A.M.M.E.R.
10.Super Mario Galaxy
11.Totsugeki Famicom Wars (Battalion Wars II)
12.Wii Health Pack
13.Wii Music
13 games in one year is amazing for any software company, and this is just for the Wii. They still have more coming out for the DS. So making all of this and MORE isn't good enough for you? What has Sony been doing that is as good?
