Er..all you have to do to "illegally vote" is use a second Mii. That's why they put a limit on votes per console, so it allows multiple people/Miis per console to vote. Granted, this doubles that limit, but if somebody is so determined to vote more than once one something, all they need is a second Mii.

Didn't anybody WATCH the video? He's not voting more than once. He is suggesting more than one poll question per day. That's it.

wow people really have nothing to do with their time. seriously hacking a poll channel for the wii? it was lame enough before people started to hack it. maybe nintendo will come out with something else now too keep their fans hopeful of a future noteworthy release, such as an advertising channel or something. now you can watch commercials on the wii!!! OMG! how sweet is that you cant do that on 360/PS3 and the controller YAY! how about some online play and non ported games instead? FLAME AWAY!

PS- the browser is actually pretty cool, i think nintendo did a great job with that. i wish the ps3 had a zoom in feature.

I'm pretty sure blue won, not red. By a significant margin, too. I thought red would win for sure, it's the only wrong prediction I've made.

On another note, does anybody know what the points mean when looking up voter data - how "tuned" in are you? The more points means exactly what? I tried looking in the operations guide for the channel, but it just says it shows how tuned in you are to other voters....

Good start, though hardly qualifies as hacking.

What I want to see is someone cracking the DRM on Virtual Console.

(I am not advocating piracy. I just think that it's absurd that if I want to take a game I paid for over to a friend's house, I have to pack my own console. At least it's a small console.)

:)

BTW, 5-0 record as of yesterday's results. It's not what you like, it's what you predict.

Semprini is right...

First the video is the worst quality I have ever seen. Should be banned from uploading to youtube for that.

Second, in the video they are only putting in new poll SUGGESTIONS not votes!

@JJC

The funny thing is, if the advertising channel had hand-selected ads that were actually good, I'd watch it. Heck, even now I scour YouTube sometimes for great ads. The real problem with TV ads is when the crap Viagara or Depends for Old Folks ads are more common than the ones that are entertaining.

@18 (x876543)
Thanks for reading my comment (and backing me up)!

The YouTube video name has just been changed. I posted a comment there that the uploader must have erased. Now if only Joystiq could fix their description of the story, all would be right in the world again. :)

But I wonder, what's the point? If you change the date to tomorrow, you lose your suggestion for that date. To submit again, you'll have to change your date again. In other words, you're not gaining anything.

Plus, most of these suggestions are probably deleted by some poor Nintendo intern anyway. :)

Video title changed from "Vote more than once" to "suggest more than once" as Semprini pointed out. And I agree, woopdeedoo, suggest more than once. I have suggested once only, but voted a whole lot more. So far I'm 3 to 1 win/loss on the predictions. Who cares if you can put a bunch of crappy poll suggestions?

Why the hell would Blue win? Studies have shown that people prefer cool colors, like blue, over warm colors. People do traditionally lean towards the darker, cool colors.

Blue winning caught me by surprise to

And reduced my record to 2 wins, 1 loss

I was also surprised that Wii owners favor dogs over cats, considering how much we all seem to love those internet memes

I would be interested in seeing VC DRM Hacked just so you could port applications over from your PC, enabling you to access PC titles and Master System titles

Although i'd also like to see an update/hack that could decode Dreamcast GD-ROMS and Saturn CDs...

The name of the YouTube video is even "Everybody Votes Channel - suggest more than once!" And that's all this h@x0rzing does. You can suggest one question per day, so if you change the date, you can do it again. Big fucking deal. You can still only get 6 votes for Wii by registering a max of 6 Miis with the channel.

Then maybe you should read the article, watch the video, or just skim the comments. If you did, you'd find that this has absolutely nothing to do with pirating games. Read first, then think, then you can have the keyboard back.

Wait wait wait...How many polls have their been? As far as I know, there have only been two completed:

What century would you prefer to live in?
What's your favorite color?

Were there more before these ones?

What's a more romantic Valentine's gift? Roses or chocolate?

Do you prefer dogs or cats?

Would you rather live in a house on a mountain or the beach?

And that's all I remember right now.

Why would someone cheat? Can you please shoot that person and get this over with? I'm very big on statistics and especially you guys announcing how to cheat on something I wanted to use for studying, it's horrible! The person who cheats seriously deserves a beatdown. I'm not going to stand for this. It's a voting thing! If you lose, you lost for good. If you cheated, you're a dumbass that deserves to be cut off from the rest of the world for your ignorance. Does anyone else understand why I'm so hyped up over this? It's a really big issue that needs to be dealt with and fixed immediately. Now those data numbers for all the current questions are incorrect and they can't ask them again as people have a hindsight bias. The way to vote multiple times could be to add more Miis to your voting channel, but even that's unethical. I have 6 people on my voting channel and 2 of them don't own a Wii, and I called them up for their answers and predictions. This cheating basically makes that entirely void now. Thanks for screwing over my new source of fun Mr. Cracker... You deserve a cruel fate.

Anyone else notice on the Wii Menu when you press the + or - buttons on the Wiimote to move the screen two screens away from the Everybody Votes Channel that that Marquee is displayed in the same box but one screen over?

For instance, my Everybody Votes Channel is in the bottom right window on the 1st page. When I navigate between the 2nd and 3rd pages, the scrolling text of the latest poll that shows on the Everybody Votes preview window shows up in the bottom right corner on the 2nd page, even though there's no channel stored there.

Weird.
