Romance of the Three Kingdoms XI Wii-ward

Now that we've sufficiently girded, here's the news: the PS2 Romance of the Three Kingdoms XI is getting an enhanced port on the Wii, to be released in Japan on March 21st with the enhanced title Romance of the Three Kingdoms XI with Power-Up Kit. Along with the obvious Wiimote functionality, the game will be getting some new gameplay modes and scenarios.

After trying to figure out the first NES Romance, we swore the series off forever. Kudos to those of you who managed to play these things.

Try Romance of the 3 Kingdoms 4. It should be coming out on VC in a month or two.

That's an addicting game- it sucks hours away from your life!

So does this mean that Rot3K XI will be available in the US for the Wii eventually?

I love the Three Kingdom games and would buy XI as soon as it hit the shelf. I think Rot3K III on SNES was maybe the best one of the series. I never had a PS2, so I couldn't play the more recent ones.

The original was really not all that bad. I wasted many hours playing it and some similar Nintendo Strategy games (Genghis Khan I think...and one other similar to these two).

Good stuff - I actually hope they release the original again :)

The PC versions of RTK3 and 4 are different than their SNES counterparts and much better. I would suggest trying those out instead of the console versoins, same can be said for RTK2 as well.
