Wii Warm Up: Brawlin, Corrupting, or traversing the Galaxy?

Three huge titles are set to rock this year (unless they get delayed: Super Mario Galaxy, Super Smash Brothers Brawl, and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. If you had to pick, in the stranded on a desert island with only one game sort of way, which would you choose? No ties and no also-rans -- pick one and declare it the winner!

I would definitely go galaxy!

Brawl is no fun without anyone with you to beat on, and as for Prime...I get board too fast with single player FPS (unless it goes online....and you get WiFi! =D)

It depends on if I'm alone on the island or not. If I'm alone, I'd choose Mario Galaxy. If I have a couple of people with me, I'd choose Smash Bros. Well, I'd probably take Smash Bros either way, though.

Prime all the way

Prime. Longest single player, possible online modes. Even without online, Prime.

Prime. I needs teh Metroids.

I am a Smash Bros. fan through and through - I'd pick it faster if I had an internet connection and could play my friends online! I'll probably pick up Metroid even though I didn't play either for the GC, and I'm sure I'll do the same with Mario, but Smash Bros. is my must-have for the system. The sooner we get some news on it, the better.

Brawling. Platformers frustrate me and I've never been a Metroid fan (Never actually played one)

So Smash Brothers all the way.

No friends, no Brawl, and I suck at Prime games.
I guess Galaxy but I want them all :(

Galaxy! Though I will most certainly get them all.

That's like asking me to choose a favorite daughter.

I have no problem picking between daughters.
Melee is my most played Cube game and Brawl will be my most played Wii game.
I still love all my daughters but I love Brawl the most!

Prime.

But really I'd rather take Wii Sports than any of those three.

As for Prime? No dice. I sucked at the NES version and haven't played a single Metroid since. (i'm lame, i know)

Metroid, if its online and offline multiplayer
Brawl, if it uses the wiimote
galaxy... ill get it, but im not such a fan of single player games.

If they all came out the same day, i would purchase and play in order

1. Brawl
2. Prime
3. Galaxy

And believe me, that's a hard choice to make, but it would have to be Brawl due to the Melee legacy, Prime 3 would be an UNBELIEVABLY close 2nd, and Galaxy would only be behind due to the Sunshine legacy

Smash Bros was good, but I got tired of it back around the N64 version.

The 3D Marios are good, but they just don't live up to the REAL series: the 2D Marios.

I'd have to have Galaxy. I'm really looking forward to Prime, but it follows the same format as MP2, really. Brawl will be HUGE, but how much different can it be from Melee? But Galaxy looks widely different from past Marios and hopeful it will be as impressive as Mario 64.

However, I'm expecting MP3 by Fall, HOPEFULLY Galaxy by Winter, and Brawl in Spring/Summer 08.

Prime. Metroid is my favorite game series of all time, nothing compares.

Prime. You people who gave up on Metroid...I feel your pain (it took me a few years to finally get around to it in my late teens), but you've got to understand how good Metroid Prime and Super Metroid are. We're talking platinum-class, IMO. However, I was relatively disappointed in Prime 2 (fine, but not a leap forward), and am hoping 3 brings it back to the level it reached before.

Mario a lot also, though. Same issues with previous incarnations of Mario as Metroid, though. Loved SM64, but Sunshine was pretty lame. So now it's been 10+ years since we've had an excellent Mario platformer, and I'm just really hoping this is it.

Smash will depend on what the critics/people say. I've enjoyed the N64 outing the most thus far (though I love Peach in Melee).

Brawl no doubt, Its the only one that I'm sure people will be playing in 6 years, look at Melee

Galaxy all the way.

I think MP3 will follow closely to MP2, except with a Wiimote, but still look forward to it.

Next gen Mario--->Hopefully Amazing

Super Smash Bros. Brawl, of course.

I've had Smash Melee for 4-5 years and I still play it, alopne and with someone, so, with Brawl I won't get bored in a very long time.

Besides, it looks cool!

Super Galaxy Prime Brawl? when does that come out? it sounds awesome!!

I'd pick a minority; Prime. It's losing miserably to Brawl and Galaxy, but I love it more than those two just the same. It's the first game on my list, then it's Galaxy and Brawl.

Prime if it's online, if not, Brawl.

Just a question, I've only played the Metroid prime: hunters and I hate to say but it had a crap singleplayer side, multiplayer made up for the bad singeplayer.

Now my question is: are the real metroid prime series better than this hunters version or is it about the same?

Galaxy. Not a big Smash Bros fan, and I only played the first Metroid Prime.

Brawl for sure. I mean... Galaxy and Prime 3 are going to be great games I'm sure, but Brawl is something that will last a long time... just like Melee and the first Smash Bros. It's going to be nothing Revolutionary... but it's going to be a great game nonetheless.

Brawl, without a doubt. Galaxy I'm a little nervous about after the whole Mario Sunshine debacle...and Metroid is a series that should never have made the jump to 3D. It's just not good.

Prime if its online. Galaxy if not.

Hmmmm - Brawl, but only if there's other people trapped on the desert island that mysteriously has a power source for my Wii. We all know it's there for the multiplayer action.

Otherwise, yeah, Prime first, then Brawl, then Galaxy.

@ #32: YEah, prime hunters was basically a fairly cut down version of what you might experience in the full size Metroid Prime games. Prime and Prime 2: Echoes are infinitely better single player games, although the multiplayer of prime hunters massively beats the multiplayer in Prime 2. If you got any enjoyment at all out of the single player in hunters, give the other two a go, they're F#@$%in' awesome adventure / exploration / shooter games.

I'm just gonna go ahead and subvert the basic premise of your hypothetical question: I choose all three. Consequences be damned!

Anyone who understands what SMASH is all about, they wont even considerate other games.

Since I'm an european, I know a small comunity who plays smash (since here people are stupid and only care about ps2).
I know 3 people who are good at smash, and I can't stop playing it, even today.

I had all the Marios, all the Metroids (for gamecube), and only one smash.
Smash won my heart forever and ever and ever.

BEST MULTIPLAYER GAME EVER!

I'd pick Brawl if it's online.
Otherwise, Mario Galaxy and hope it's more 64 and less Sunshine...

If Brawl ISN'T online, I'm probably not even going to bother with it. I honestly don't see there being a huge difference between Brawl and Melee, game play-wise.

Brawl, but not by much. Just beat out Galaxy. But no doubt i will get all three.
