What is a "gave video" exactly? I rented and beat the Genesis version and didn't like it.

Batman on NES DOES kick major ass.

Why?

Because Batman was basically a ninja in it. With a gun..... but a ninja! Wall jumpin and all baby :)

Kick ass game, but brutally difficult. Had it and played it for probably a year before I beat it as a kid. Awesome cutscene graphics for the hardware.

I've never understood why people rate this game highly. It's been a long while since I've played this game, but I do remember being strongly disappointed by the level design and the enemy characters. [Goes to watch the video] Yep, it's still the same horrible game. I remember having more problems with the wall-jumping than with the enemies. This game cost me $40+ at the time, and it was a horrible waste of money.

The computer version was a load better - I had it for the Amstrad & The Atari & it followed the film a lot more closely - I've never understood why the NES movie IPs seemed to add stuff that wasn't even anything like the movies - the same happened with the BTTF game & The Addams Family game

I never rated this game that highly either.. just seemed like another of the billions of NES platformers out there. Though i guess that the graphics are pretty good for a NES.

The problem with videos on the web is that you have to listen to guys with really annoying voices and unfunny jokes.. instead of just reading them ;-)

That game was pure style. In a time when licensed games are just crappy knockoffs, Sunsoft actually put some effort into it to craft a beautiful, fun, clever title.

It is most certainly not one of the best licensed games of all time. Giving Batman a gun betrays one of the fundamental aspects of his character.

That and it was a cookie cutter NES platformer.

NES version?

NES VERSION?

Real men played it with a joystick on the ZX Spectrum.

Wait... no. Poor men played it on the ZX Spectrum. Ah.

For a second there, I thought Batman was fighting Boomer Kuwanger. It was the first time that I've smiled while thinking of Mega Man in a solid decade.

When I was a wee lad I played me the living shit out of some Batman: The Animated Series on Game Boy via my Super Game Boy. I would always pick these badass purples and blacks for him, and a yellow for the moonlight, but then everybody would just look like the Lakers. Anyway, that one was awesome. I barely touched this NES one though. I think I have it. i should dig it up and czech it out.

I paid £50 for this (well actually my parents paid - birthday present). I played speccy, amiga and own the Megadrice version. All pretty good, but play Megadrive version now - slow stilted character movement and control, very average level design, platforming and combat. Sorry but NES was best and it is his spear gun, without rope as weapon,

Props to the graphics team on this. This was one of the best looking NES games ever! Pretty difficult with the NES limited palette of colors.
