I can't wait for this game!! I am still pissed at id Software for such a POS Quake 4 port. We need a decent Deathmatch game on the 360.

My wife brought home a copy of Unreal Tournement for the PS2 back in 2001. She picked it a random along with a few others. I spent months devouring that game. I got the Unreal Championship II: The Liandri Conflict for the xbox and spent weeks taking each character up the tournament ladder; UC II: TLC is one of my favorite xbox games, I just played it Saturday while taking a break from Crackdown.

And now UT3, (no longer UT2007, since it won't be released this year), is looking to continue the tradition. The video I've seen looks good so far. UT3 should be exactly what we expect it to be: an updated refinement of UT for next-gen and pc. Epic has a winner in Gears, and UT3 will no doubt do the same. The weapons look great, and I can't wait to check out the new levels. I'm also wondering what Epic is doing that will set UT3 apart frpm the others. So far it looks to be a snazzier version, but I wonder if Epic feels the need to introduce new gameplay mechanics to make UT3 be more than just an updated version of what came before.

Awesome, this looks like the same great UT gameplay I love, only it looks like gears of war. This will be a great change of pace from gears.

I'm excited about this. I loved 2004 and I know my PC couldn't run this well at all.

The flak cannon seemed to work pretty much the same as before, which is good by me!

I always loved the flak cannon, rocket launcher and redeemer from these games. As well as all of the other weapons. For my money, epic has always been spot on with weapons.

bah.. I hate unreal games. I mostly only like CTF in fps or other modes involving heavy team strategy, but in this game, you can pick up the flag and still fire your weapon, and run just as fast. So theres no point.

Games like graw are too tactical for me and I dont like the whole 1 hit your dead thing basically. I like games like halo and pdz, which seems to be a mix of the 2 types of FPS.

I'm probably in the minority, but my biggest gripes with franchises like UT is that they take so few risks. The weapons are a great example. Look, I don't care to use the flak cannon and shock rifle again. Ho hum. Sure, there will always be shooter standbys like rocket launchers and shotguns, but let's at least try mix it up a little, ok?

I'd have to agree with ez054098 - it's the same 6 yr old gameplay with a new coat of polish. I was hoping for something really revolutionary after all this time, but it's the same dated gameplay.

People expect more from a shooter nowadays: tactics like GRAW or R6, cover systems like GoW or R6. This is empty, fast-food twitch.
