No, there's no wiimote.

They've repeated talked about using the camera as an input device, dating back even to before the Wii control system was announced. We know that they have ninjas working on using cameras to detect devices in 3d space, track facial movement, etc. Even the Bill Gates kitchen playground demo was based on their camera recognition.

It makes a lot more sense that they're going to do what they've been consistently saying all along than to believe that they're going to jump out and copy a control system that they've openly questioned as a possible fad, and past market failure.

I'll go on record here and say XBOX 360 DOES NOT need motion control. It's not a selling point for the Playstation 3 and when it's utilized in games, it rarely if ever works to add playability to the game. The Nintendo Wii is built around motion control and for once can we just let things be??

There are no blogs, fan-sites or people raving about how they miss motion control while they play Gears of War or Viva Pinata. Leave competitors with thier toys; give us more XBLA, continued support for online gaming, stellar titles like GOW and Halo, and leave the rest in peace.

No where in there does he even vaguely hint at motion control. I've seen this interview's taken so out of context everywhere it's amazing Moore can breathe with all those words stuffed in his mouth. For the record, motion control on my 360 would completely kill it for me.

I don't think it's motion control either.

As for camera recognition, there's nothing new about it. They can try all sorts of things, but I don't know how experimental it can be any longer given Sony's repeated EyeToy releases, not to mention that card game demo they showed using a camera at E3 that one year.

Personally, I think it's going to involve Live in some form. I have ideas as to how that might work, but I don't think I could explain them very well. There's a lot more they can do to make the system more of a hub for everyone in the family though.

God, I hope not. It would just seem so "me too." I like what the 360 is now. It's a powerful console that takes everything that has worked well and puts it into one refined package. Don't change a thing, please.

Motion control is just another alternative input device. Each game has an appropriate input method. Use a pad for DDR, a guitar for GH, a Racing wheel for racing games, and a motion controller for tennis & golf. I don't see why it couldn't be released as an add-on for the 360, only used in certain games.

In the same way as Project Gotham can be played with a wheel or a standard controller, some games could have optional motion control. Makes sense to me.

Last week Microsoft filed for an FCC patent for a wireless device using OFDM/WiMax not cellular technology so maybe a Zune/360 wireless high speed combo of some sort?

I'm all for it. If you don't like it, don't buy it geeks. Super Monkey Ball, Wii Sports type games ect. w/motion controls would be the shot in the arm that 360 needs. I'm getting so fucking tired of shooters.

Am I one of only apparently 5.67 gamers that do not want to flail around like a fool when they play games? I am a gamer partly because I'm lazy. It's a fad and will pass - more Live integration and more XNA support will be the killer apps of the 360.
