Readers pick best webcomic, now with Google
In the event of a tie, the supreme dictator has the right to choose which comic he deems most worthy, and therefore I am deigning the rare victor Fanboys Online the best webcomic of the week over the often favorite VG Cats (Sorry, Scott 1, but Scott 2 doesn't nearly get the same amount of recognition.) Third place goes to Dueling Analogs' clever mashup of some of our favorite games.Last week's list was over-indulgent, and we intend to purge it of its gluttonous weight and trim according to quality. We have a better idea of what the readers enjoy, but we will ultimately leave the selection up to supreme dictators (read: us). We promise to always showcase the little guys as much as possible, so as not to become a perpetual fistfight amongst the top 5 gaming comics.
With that said, thanks to everyone who voted and be sure to let us know of any game-related comics you stumble upon this week!

You guys should post one from http://www.greeneside.com. The Luigi one there is funny.
Blue Sam @ Feb 27th 2007 9:48AM
anyone care to explain what is with "Link and Midna"? I don't get it when I look up on images.google dot com.
sheppy @ Feb 27th 2007 9:53AM
Blue Sam, Link and Midna are the two lead in Twilight Princess. Which, at it's core isn't all that bad. But the furry community (well, a small faction) as well as several rather disturbing perverts have littered the internets with rather disturbing sexual scenarios.
Nmaster @ Feb 27th 2007 10:59AM
For the record, I haven't found anything disturbing coming from a Link and Midna search...surprisingly...
Let me know if anyone finds anything though. xD

I thought fanboys was good, but Vgcats made me laugh more.
Anyway, here is a comic that have given the biggest laughs reading a gaming comic in a long time:

go read it, enjoy it, and have fun :)

I was in a newsgroup when someone dropped some. I haven't been seeking but I have stumbled across them.
Crono @ Feb 27th 2007 11:17AM
Turn your google safe search off. It automagically filters "adult" content.
Not that anyone would want to see that stuff. Or would they...
bow chicka bow wow
Muku @ Feb 27th 2007 11:29AM
I don't know... I know here we've done the search a few times, and the filter is never on, and don't get that. So it doesn't ring as funny or as true. Perhaps things have been removed? Not sure, but maybe that's why many of us don't find it funny.
Oh well, at least DA got Honorable.
Scott Smith @ Feb 27th 2007 11:51AM
This will be the last gaming comic on Slackerz for a long while. It's about the TurboGrafx-16 (something you don't read about everyday).

If you feel it's worthy, put it up, though I understand you'll be skimming the list a bit, Ross. I totally support that.
Thanks for this week's listing.
Almadi @ Feb 27th 2007 11:57AM
Well, I hope you aren't influenced by some haters comment and drop WFGN.
The comic is still in its pilot phase and if you noticed, increases in quality every week.
But this is a people's comic. So I am planning on changing it according to people's tastes. The comic is aimed more toward people in their mid 20's that grew up on games.
Thank you for your support Ross.

I liked the format of last weeks vote. With the multiple choices I didn't feel compelled to choose one of my favorite comics over something less known that I found equally enjoyable. I think the multiple selection poll worked very well, seeing how the three choices I selected made the top 3 XD
Monkeydog @ Feb 27th 2007 2:31PM
I don't believe Link and Midna, it's just making fun of how sometimes when you search for people, or a group of people, you get really weird stuff. Apparently if you look up "Ganondorf and Tingle" you get something.
But yeah, it's not funny because it's true, it's just funny because how Google is most of the time.
Sterfry @ Feb 27th 2007 4:25PM
I'm surprised to see that CAD beat out Penny-Arcade in votes. Someone throw my webcomic into the vote next time.
