I have no faith that this type of game will ever get online with the Wii. Why? The Wii has barely any memory whatsoever. I can see games which have little or no customization options getting online, co-op, but something like this would be too much for little old Wii to handle. (Please note, the Wii and DS are the only dedicated gaming machines I own.)

Sounds like the developers really love the game they're making. Which, in the end, makes for a better gaming experience.
The Wii needs more games like this that are fully developed with the system and controls in mind.

GREAT NEWS!!
This game is fun, but thats only a sidebar that means some RTS are soon to follow, ONLY using the Wiimote.

Happy Day!

I'm not even a big RTS fan, it's just the total missed opportunity on the DS so far. Maybe publishers are finally getting their heads out of their ass and saying, "Wow, this thing points, how perfect is that for my RTS game."

I adore OKX, so I'm really excited for this.

Although, I think the name for this game is far too generic.

@ Blue_Falcon

The very generic sounding name was a topic of discussion recently on the NinjaBee forums. Steve Taylor (president of Wahoo/NinjaBee) was talking about how they wanted a unique name for Kaloki to avoid the very descriptive but uninteresting "Space Station Sim"...guess Namco Bandai prefers things to be more straightforward.

@3 kokernutz:
Quake, Subspace, Ultima Online, and countless other PC games from that era disagree with you.

When I saw this on IGN, and the headline had "Space Station" in it, my hopes soared for a split-second while thinking it was a successor to Space Station Silicon Valley.

That game had BETTER come to VC, hear me Nintendo?

The Wii's lack of horsepower would in no way hinder a comprehensive online experience

Its using USB 2.0 and Wireless B/G, the same as all the other consoles (well, the LAN for other consoles goes through Ethernet, but USB 2.0 supports it well enough)

There's nothing stopping Wii from having a network as good or better than LIVE, just Nintendo's pig-headedness

@5 ConstyXIV:

This is not a PC game from that era.

wow so an xbox live arcade title is good enough to be a full retail title on the wii? i know it isnt the same but isnt that kinda what they are saying? not that outpost was a bad game but it certainly wasnt worth $50 (even with more content). garbage seems to be the norm for the wii so far.

Gyah, so many xbots (to use a term I don't really like). Seriously, if you've read anything about this it will be an expansion of OKX, including multiplayer and a bunch of new functionality. That said, I hope it launches for less than 50 bucks...
