Stuntman Ignition on PS3 & Xbox 360 in summer 2007
THQ has announced that the follow-up to Atari's 2002 Stuntman will arrive this summer for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Dubbed Stuntman Ignition, the sequel is being developed by the publisher's internal studio Paradigm Entertainment (formerly of Atari). The original Stuntman was developed by another former Atari studio, now with Ubisoft, Reflections.Ignition will continue the tradition of insane(-ly frustrating) stunts, as players desperately fight to maintain a variety of careening-prone vehicles, including exotic sports cars, motorcycles, and (ever-impossible to control) hovercraft. Thankfully, an online mode will let you design the torturous routes, and then invite others to suffer the trial and error.

Doesn't look very promising so far. GFX need work for sure. Looks very gamey and less photographic then the original on ps2.

"The sequel nobody asked for to the game nobody liked."

Why do I get the feeling that this game is going to be half-baked?

I was thinking more along the lines of "spider sense," but I guess that works too.

I remember this biotch. I guess it was the intent of the game... but that game was unforgiving. Go outside the intended pathway? Restart (and reload)... F that!

Stuntman on the PS2 was the tits! The game was HARD AS HELL,but the whole idea of it and all the crazy shit you had to do was awesome.
I can't wait to see all the crazy things you do with these new systems. The graphics on these machines are going to make the explosions and all the action scenes look awesome!

...Stuntman 1 kicked ass and was well reviewed. Why is everyone knocking it now?
konajinx @ Feb 28th 2007 9:56PM
Everyone's knocking it because we all hated it. God, was I ever happy to sell that POS game. Steep learning curves are OK if they happen as the game goes along. When a game is so tough it sucks out of the box, then forget it.
