they need to put out more hot ip's besides gta! And just cuz you do gta doesn't mean all your other games have to be a sandbox/jackin' vehicles style game. Mix that shit up a bit.

Me thinks they are just gonna offset this by going multiplatform, vis-a-vis GTA IV.

It couldn't have happened to a better company.

All the more reason to go multiplatform and no more exclusives.

"All the more reason to go multiplatform and no more exclusives."

Um, you do realize that almost every major game T2 puts out is released on multiple platforms, right?

T2's problem is they're a one-trick pony game-wise and they don't realize it. They think Midnight Club is a successful series. It isn't. Heck, for a while they thought Smuggler's Run was a bonafide franchise. These are marginally successful games, not something you build a company on. Anyone remember Oni? That was supposed to be their big thing after GTA. They put huge amounts of money into marketing these questionable games and hardly any thought into the games themselves.

They need to realize they got lucky with GTA, but that doesn't give them the midas touch, nor does it make them business geniuses. So far, the *only* games that have made any lasting impact for them have come out of Rockstar North (GTA, Manhunt, Bully). What they probably need to do is downsize around Rockstar North and reorganize the company into production and publishing for R* North, with a second wing for budget games. That's more or less what they used to be, before they bought up a bunch of minor developers and got into all this trouble in the first place.
