This video of the new Stuntman: Ignition surfaced today, and we must say it's looking very nice. Actually, we take that back. Just for a moment, we're going to revert back into 15-year-olds, which is what we are on the inside, and say that Stuntman: Ignition looks totally awesome. Watching the trailer, you really do get the Hollywood feeling, like you're driving through a bad Pierce Brosnan movie. The last part of the trailer -- the yellow car tearing ass around San Francisco -- looks like it was heavily inspired by The Rock. The ending of the trailer, though, is just plain inspired. In short, we can't wait to get a closer look at this one.

i saw this earlier on joystiq. people on fire, volcanos, cars on fire, destroying bridges, jumping cars into helicopters,....i could keep going. i'll definitely rent if not purchase this one.

I'm excited. I like these kind of over-the-top driving games. I'm not sure I see a lot of potential for multiplayer, but maybe they'll surprise me.

This looks like it fully kicks ass, although I like to have a race dynamic in my driving games. Graphics look great, the driving looks tight and there's so much going on in the background it looks like it'll actually be fun to watch the replays.

Have any of you played the original on PS2? By the content of your comments, it looks not. By the way, if we are talking about looks, the game "looks" like it is for PS2.

This game looks great. I played the original on the PS2 and I loved it I could play it for hours and hours and as you progressed the maneuvers became much much faster and difficult.Id say this does have room for multiplayer as on IGN it states "take the action online to challenge rival stuntman in the ultimate backlot showdown." Hopefully it will be some kind of arena stunt show.
To the comments about graphics, go look at videos and pictures of the first stuntman and this is definatley a step in the right direction. Much better frame rate and much better visuals. This is coming out for the X Box 360 and the PS3.
I am looking forward to this game because back when I played this on the PS2 I played through the game at least four times. The stunts are entertaining yet not unrealistic and if you pay attention most movies are takin from actual movies. I think the movie that the trailer is playing off of is Dante's Peak. (Bad volcano movie with Pierce Brosnan and some old lady boils in a lake lol) I think my favorite stunt from the first one was driving a German armored car into a submarine. Wow a PS3 owner posted on a 360 website but didn't flame anything...Peace will come some day.

Stuntman for the PS2 was complete trash. Basically "Do this, oh no you failed... try it again... good job! Now do this! Oh you failed, time to start over!"
