Wii Warm Up: Had to replace anything yet?

Nope I haven't replaced anything.

I had to send my Wii to the Nintendo factory(?) in Syracuse, NY to get my Wii replaced. My Wii remote wasn't being picked up by the sensor bar unless I was pointing five feet to the right of it. So I called NoA up and they sent me a new sensor bar but that didn't solve it. So I called them up and they sent me instructions and a UPS label. The whole process took about a week and a half; the bulk of it was waiting for the UPS label.

I haven't replaced it yet, but one of my controllers doesn't seem as sensitive. When I play Bowling, it's very hard to get any curve on the ball. Everything else about it seems fine, just trying to get spin on the ball doesn't really work. The other Wiimote is fine. I guess I should call Nintendo.

batteries... loads of batteries. no replacements other then that though, every thing works just fine.

Everything is working fine. No problems. Controller was messing up a bit at one time, but like most electronics u can brang it around and it works great again. I love the sound of extra parts in my controller.

My lil girl took the game cube controller cover off and scratched it up pretty bad. The good news is they sell replacements on Nintendo's site for like 2 bux.

My roommate knocked my upright Wii over, whilst the Wavebird receiver was plugged in. Broke one of the controller port door hinges off. Superglue did the job, but I ordered a replacement from Nintendo for gits and shiggles. $1 + S & H.

So far I only wonder how my Nunchuk is doing. No pulling on the string so far but I have the feeling that it doesn't pick up the movements every now and then. That's especially nerve wrecking if you have to reload in Red Steel or quickly want to do a spin attack in Zelda:TP. I then have to shake the living daylight out of the Nunchuk to get a reaction.

The only thing that actually was replaced were the wrist straps. But haven't we all been there?

No problems here...except for the voracious appetite of the Wii Remote.

But I will be picking up some rechargeables this weekend.

Yep, had a tilt sensor go bad in one of my Wiimotes. Sent in to Nintendo authorized service center in NY. Took about 2 weeks to get a replacement. Other than loosing out on some 2 player game time with my boys, it didn't cost me anything to get it replaced.

The controller broke after 20 days.
The tilt/acceleration sensor died.

No replacements yet. In fact, I've only run into one problem using my Wii. For some reason I can't set an IP address, and it constantly obtains the IP for my computer. Whenever this happens the Wiimote won't work until I unplug the console.

My remote stopped working (tilt sensor) when my gf bumped it against a shelf. They said the sensor usually can be unstuck but mine wouldn't. I played VC games for the 4 days or so until my new one came in with a pre-paid/pre-addressed label. They even shipped it out on a US national holiday. It was within 90 days so it was free plus they waived the shipping charges. It was one of the best customer service experiences I have had.

I've replaced absolutely nothing. I have four original-strap Remotes, 3 Nunchuks, 2 Classic Controllers, Wii Sports, LoZ:TP, Madden 07, Rayman Raving Rabbids, Trauma Center, Super Monkey Ball, and Excite Truck. I've downloaded 7 VC games and the Internet Channel and Everybody Votes Channel.

My console has been played by over 30 people for more than 150 hours since launch day.

Everything works perfect. I've only had ONE disc read error, and that was solved by a remove-and-replace-the-disc maneuver.

I'm about to send my Wii back to Nintendo for repair - I've got vertical black lines all down the screen... The same problem has been reported by other people and it could be due to the graphics card overheating.

I'm waiting for a UPS label to repair my Wii... I have snow all over the screen, a known issue from overheating. T_T It's progressively getting worse, so it has to be fixed... *pout*

I have the worst luck. I am on my third wii! In the first one (which I bought on release day) the wiimotes never quite worked right. They would disconnect very frequently. I ended-up playing a lot of VC games with GC controllers but it eventually got so bad that I was unable to even use the menus to start a game or even be able to press A to get past the Health warning.

Before I knew it was the wii itself that was broken I returned two wiimotes. (I also had an original wrist-strap break which Nintendo replaced with the strap replacement program.)

The second wii worked for a week. Actually it always had wireless issues ands a VERY load drive but those were not show stoppers. Then the flash memory got corrupted and it would just go to a black screen with an error message after turning it on.

The third one came in just a little while ago. I plugged it in and it would not accept discs! Even nudging it in when the disc was about 3 mm from going in would not work, it just almost sucked in the disc and then spit it out. After using gravity twice (I picked-up the wii and held it with the slot up) it finally sucked in a disc and ever since it has been fine.

This wii is my best so far. I have only had the wiimote disconnect one time and so far the wireless and flash have been perfect. I am hoping three it the charm. I told Nintendo about the disc sucking in issue I had and they were very nice and extended my warantee and said that if a disc were to get stuck inside they would be able to retrieve it as part of a future repair. I have to say that the Nintendo customer service and administration people were all very nice and helpful every time I have had a problem.

Seems to short to me, too. It's always flying up and hitting me in the face. Maybe Nyko will create and extender cable for it?

Haven't had to replace a thing. I did order a replacement wrist strap (but I don't know how the hell ANYONE can break the original strap. Seriously, I'm still trying to.) After my hellish time with the 360 (I'm now on my fourth) I'm really glad to have a console that's at least half-way reliable.

I'm about to get my sent out. My wii's gpu seems to have over heated and giving me that strange black/green pixel glitch. Strange that both me a good friend have the same problem. I'm also suprised nobody else seems to have that issues here.

Well, my Nyko rechargable base was scorched when I unpackaged it, but I just sent it off for a free replacement. Took me a whole 30 seconds on the phone to set it up.

So the sync button on my Wii broke two months after launch when I bought it. The spring in the button made it non depressible. Nintendo asked me to send it in for repairs. Nintendo promptly sent me a brand new Wii, I can't tell you how impressed I was. This company does nothing but good, everything they touch turns to gold and they are very good to there customers. I am always going to recommend the Nintendo as the brand to choose for each generation of console no matter the specs, it will all be due to there extraordinary customer service. Way to go Nintendo! My hats off to you good sir!

I get all kinds of random pixel miscolouration in some games and menus. It's always in 2D stuff like WarioWare or VC games, I didn't see it at all in any 3D games. Is this what someone earlier describes as 'snow'?

My friends and I were playing Mario Kart and my Wii was verticle and my friend using a gamecube controller of the shelf, making it fall 4.5 feet to the ground, and in the process slam sideways on a speaker. IT STILL WORK FINE! The only thing that broke was the gamecube controller flap, $1 replacement

my only problem has been the "eternal pause" on the VC randomly resetting a couple times, but not enough of a problem to replace anything.

My cat ate the wire to the "sensor bar" so I ordered a new one from nintendo. Bad kitty, he owes me 16 bux.

No problems for my Wii. Though I'm not really constantly playing it. Too busy these days. :(

One of my remotes has a feedback like sound coming from the speaker. You can really notice it while bowling.

Also dropped one remote off of a fifth floor balcony while bowling. Apparently it was not designed for that great of a fall. Once I get the special tri-blade screwdriver I am going to take it apart for fun.

My Wii had graphical artifact problems. Not due to overheating because they were always present. Looked like sparkly dead-pixels sprinkled over the screen. Wasn't cable or TV or settings because I tried different ones. Took it back to get it repaired/replaced. I haven't got it back yet.

My wii is doing the weird pixel thing. I notice it when i hit the home button and the return to wii menu screen pops up. Never happens during actual wii games and I don't really notice it when playing the VC. I'm calling Nintendo tommorow.

my wii overheats and shuts off come to find out my fan on it isn't working at all. waiting on ups label.
