Give us these DS games ... or else!
As gamers, we're a demanding species. Give us more games. Give us better games. Give us Mother 3 in English. When we get what we want everything is fine, but deny our feral urges and we resort to desperate measures such as ... making lists!Pocketgamer has summarized some of their innermost desires into a list of ten DS games they demand now. There are some obvious choices, such as Mario Paint DS and the Marble Madness game we begged for ages ago. All that's left is to take the list, print it out, wrap it around a brick and start tossing it through windows. Who knows, maybe we'll even get a port of Pornage or Pwnage for the DS?

Okami DS is the only one from that list that sounds... demanding.
Daniel @ Mar 3rd 2007 2:13PM
I want Bangai-O for the DS.
That'd be totally awesome.
lv15gamer @ Mar 3rd 2007 2:25PM
we need Worms DS......tell me that wouldnt be perfect
NintendoFanbot @ Mar 3rd 2007 2:30PM
To be honest a lot of those I'd like to see EVEN MORE as Wii games. But DS can always use more support as well, if proposed projects are well-executed. For example, I could totally see Okami DS being a 2D-sprite game and still look and play beautifully.
Shadow Hog @ Mar 3rd 2007 2:30PM
Forget Mario Paint DS and Marble Madness - their first suggestion, the LucasArts games - are what I'M talkin' 'bout.
Seriously, I may have played it to the extent of pretty much exhaustion, but I'd buy Day of the Tentacle for the DS in a heartbeat. Plus I'd like to get around to playing Monkey Island 2 or Sam and Max, at some point.
Thrawn @ Mar 3rd 2007 2:34PM
I demand Phoenix Wright 3 through 5,000,047.
Oh and maybe Grim Fandango DS if it wouldn't be too much to ask.
John B @ Mar 3rd 2007 3:23PM
lv15gamer: There IS a Worms DS, but apparently no one liked it.
Macroy @ Mar 3rd 2007 3:00PM
3: Do you mean this?

I'm pretty sure it's coming, but I can't stop demanding Tetris Attack. Originally for the SNES, the japanese version was called Panel Du Pon in japan, Pokémon Puzzle Challenge for the Game Boy, Pokémon Puzzle League for the N64, and just plain Puzzle League for the GBA (on a cart with Dr. Mario). This is my favorite game of all time, they just need to let you position the cursor with the stylus so I don't have to use the crappy d-pad on the DS.
Mr Khan @ Mar 3rd 2007 3:26PM
Panel de Pon!
The origin of that irritating Lip's Stick from Melee
Mother 3 would be nice, or at least that Mother 1+2 compiliation (although all of those are GBA games, a US DS version would be good)
Aberu @ Mar 3rd 2007 3:28PM
Here I'll comment in the style of anti-sony fanboys commentary.
Fanboy-mode:
Nintendo has inflated their ego for far too long, it is time to bring the big tyrant of handheld gaming down with a company that believes in releasing games overseas. Sony PSP for life, bring down the big guys cuz, as we all know, big guys are always bad!
NintendoFanbot @ Mar 3rd 2007 3:43PM
Aberu I absolutely agree!
On GameGear, on Game.com, on Nomad, on Atari Lynx!
On N-Gage, on TurboExpress, on Gizmondo, on GP2X!
PSP, with your screen shining ever so bright, won't you guide my slay tonight?
[arrogance-o-meter explodes]
Denney @ Mar 3rd 2007 3:46PM
I must say i am considering learning japanese. The amount of games that dont come out in the UK is a joke and even when they do i have to end up waiting like 9 months to play them. The new Pokemon games came out in japan what last november and its still no where to be seen in the UK.
CJC @ Mar 3rd 2007 4:00PM
As much as I loved Mario Paint on the SNES, I think the DS screen is a bit too small for that.
Anonymousaurus @ Mar 3rd 2007 5:00PM
-am i the only one that still wants Katamari Damacy on the DS?
-and what ever happend to Bob Ross: Joy of Painting?
Carolyn @ Mar 3rd 2007 6:34PM
Panel de Pon. PLEASE!
ssuk @ Mar 3rd 2007 6:05PM
@3: There was a Worms game on the DS apparently, but was swept under the carpet because it apparently sucked.
caleb @ Mar 3rd 2007 6:24PM
I realy want Zelda: Occarina Of Time for the ds. I would also like to see another Animal Crossing game.
scepia @ Mar 3rd 2007 7:01PM
"and what ever happend to Bob Ross: Joy of Painting?"
That was April Fools if i remember correctly.
required @ Mar 3rd 2007 7:15PM
Just get a PSP since the DS has no good games.
Here is a sampling of the fun you could be having:

caleb @ Mar 3rd 2007 7:25PM
More like an sampling of crap you could be having.
Kevin @ Mar 3rd 2007 8:51PM
I wish we'd get Mother 3 :[ I'd be happy with the Mother 1+2 as well.
fLiPpAz @ Mar 3rd 2007 10:01PM
Smash Brothers DS with wi-fi please
Martez @ Mar 3rd 2007 10:09PM
Worms DS was buggy as hell. I'd always fall through the ground :(
Hardcore @ Mar 3rd 2007 11:58PM
I second the Smash Bros DS comment as well as suggest Mario Tennis DS with Wi-Fi, imagine each half of the screen could be half of the tennis court.
Gavin @ Mar 4th 2007 4:41AM
Jenga!?!?!
This is a parody article, right? Sheesh....
VoiceofHarold @ Mar 4th 2007 5:50AM
I don't understand why Punch-Out isn't on the DS?? I mean how perfect a fit is that?
You could have "Punch-Out Anthology," with the 2 dual screen arcade versions of Punch-Out, plus NES Punch-Out and SNES Super Punch-Out... that would be sweet. Even better, have each of those along with a brand new Punch-Out for the DS. For the stylus, have a close-up of your boxer's face between rounds where you quickly manage their cuts/swelling/water and such to boost their health for the next round. I think Punch-Out for the DS either new or old or both would sell like crazy.
t_m @ Mar 4th 2007 7:09AM
Lucasarts adventures go without saying (though i have been saying it anyway for long time.)
I just don't get why there aren't more n64 games on the DS. Goldeneye would be great, but won't happen. Perfect dark would be good to (and WITH elvis the alien please!).. but SIn and Punishment, 1080 snowboarding, excitebike64, f-zero X, wave race 64, Turok (1&2) etc.. would all rock too. (shame about all the Rare games like goldeneye, PD, conker, jet force gemini etc..)
Plus, where are the RTS and FPS games darnit???? Starcraft DS anyone???
nithron @ Mar 4th 2007 7:27AM
What I think we need is Jet Set Radio on DS.
I just want another JSR game period, but on DS... you could use the stylus instead of random button combos to draw graffiti! There could be like a template on the wall you have to draw within to get points and successfully complete the graffiti art. Also, it's cel shaded, so the DS' slightly dubious 3D graphics wont matter so much.
t_m @ Mar 4th 2007 7:53AM
oh.. and since they are doing all these Final Fantasy remakes on the GBA (and therefore the DS).. what bout Chrono Trigger??????????
Joe @ Mar 4th 2007 12:49PM
You mean you want this?
http://www.mother3.org/march02.php
Joe @ Mar 4th 2007 1:00PM
Also. Mario vs Donkey Kong 2 should have been the answer for their Donkey Kong sequel demand but they had to entirely mess up the gameplay.
Donkey Kong 94 was still the best Donkey Kong sequel though.
As for the above commenter, I agree, a CT remake would be great.
(Finally, off topic but is there a way to change the password to something I can remember?)
trent @ Mar 5th 2007 5:41PM
mmmmmm mother 3
kip @ Mar 5th 2007 4:41PM
No one has mentioned this:
New Super Mario Bros. 2
A new take on SMB2, like they did last year with SMB. You can't tell me that wouldn't sell like mad.
