Free HD South Park episode coming this week [update 1]

South Park fans and HD aficionados will be happy to know that the first ever high definition episode of South Park will be coming to the XBLM ... for free! WIRED is reporting that as part of South Park's eleventh season premiere this Wednesday, Comedy Central has teamed up with Microsoft to offer the HD exclusive episode "Good Times With Weapons" this Tuesday for free. Best Buy is also offering this HD episode for free on HD-DVD with the purchase of any Xbox 360 console or HD-DVD player add on. Note to Comedy Central, we love South Park, we love HD content, and we love free content ... so keep this up. We must ask, anyone looking forward to watching South Park in high definition this Tuesday?

I know that in the USA you have televison shows, DVD`s you can rent or (recent) movie trailer you can watch and that is good and great but when is it Europe turn?

Ummm....where's the Daily Show and Colbert Report? I don't understand why they don't have those on there...

I, personally, am waiting for Heroes. I guess the fact that nobody else is downloading Jericoh might be contribuing to it. It seems like the perfect show for the service. I mean, it's kinda geeky. Geeks play video games. Stan Lee made a freaking cameo, for heaven's sake--GIVE ME DOWNLOADABLE HEROES.

I'm betting I wont get this because I am in Canada, right? Ugh. I don't see why this kind of stuff is only for Americans.

I've said it once and I'll say it again. The content is for the USA only because the studios make it that way. Microsoft has to sign contracts to distribute only in certain areas. They are not at fault. If you're upset about this, then call or write the studio involved and tell them they are idiots for not allowing the content for release in other regions.

Isn't HD Kind of a Waste on Cartoons?

I have a Hd Channel that plays Cartoons. It depends on the show really. HD just makes the colors more vibrant and a little more smooth looking, yet agian it is on my DLP set. So I don't know what it looks like on other TVs. The Simpsons trailer looks nice in 720p. :)
