Sounds like it could be cool. Not to sound picky, but the plural of LEGO is "LEGO" or "LEGO bricks", not "LEGOs".

lmao free sign up for all lego fans
I would click that link.. but I don't think I'm XTREAM enough.

I'm tired of paying each month to play a game, why are so many MMOs being made?

This is the best idea I've ever heard. It's like paying a small monthly fee for an unlimited supply of virtual LEGO. I'd like to see some X-TREAM guilds on it that only build the most awesomest giant cans of Mountain Dew.

to #11 me

Thanks for the old news. Now how about some new news?

Back to topic, I'm particularly worried about how object-tracking will be handled, since Lego inherently involves a LOT of objects. if it's done server side, there's a LOT of data transfer needed, while if it's done client side, there's a high potential for abuse..

How long do you think it'll take before someone makes a giant lego phallus on little Timmy's monitor and his mom sues NetDevil?

www.thebettermod.com

The comments above talk about a game called "Blockland" (www.blockland.us) but if you go to thebettermod.com you can download a giant mod for it with a TON of features. or you can tryout blockland and the other mods. It's best to try around and find the one you like the best.

Talk about a mod community. You could build LEGO Starcraft, LEGO Halo, LEGO Zelda, LEGO porn, LEGO Abu Ghraib, anything. This will become the new Second Life.

Actually Mark, 'LEGOs' always irks me too, and most people seem to say that.

That being said, I'm a HUGE fan. I've played with LEGO as far back as I can remember and I still do. If this comes out for the Wii I'm all over it!

For other LEGO geeks, here's the town I've been working on:

"Lego is a company! What you are talknig about are Lego Bricks! Lego makes other things than Bricks... blah blah blah..."

No one gives a fuck what the correct form is. I love Legos and I will call them Legos until I die.

brings me back to my good old days of blockland. I made a modpack for it way back

http://blmods.blogspot.com/

Although obsolete today, it was great at the time.

I can only imagine a true lego mmo build from the ground up by an experienced company. Lets hope they dont aim it at kids (or make us pay monthly fees for that matter :P).

I still have such a stong bond with legos as an adult. I just loved lego star wars, and Im not really a fan of starwars.
