An RPG with an ORIGINAL English track and a dubbed Japanese track?

Much props for that alone, let alone releasing those games so closely together for a fall RPG harvest.

It's good that Xbox 360 gets a few RPGs... I mean, I already have one, but that's not the reason I bought it for.

Still, it's hard to believe there were fanboys on the 360 bandwagon actually hoping it would get many of these... then again it's funny and sad too.

It's almost a certainty that both PS3 and Wii will get a lot more of these.

Nice asssumetion there. There is an installed userbase of 360 owners looking for more and more games. As japanese companies like Capcom and From Software release for 360 they are starting to show other Japanese companies that profits can be made on a 360. This is f course the bottom line. Profits. If theps3 dshows no real profit margin, then fewer and fewer games will be released for it.. However, it's more than likely going to be a much more evenly space match betwen consoles. It wager for next gen games, we'll start seeing a 50/50 split as 3rd parties release more and more for both systems.

See the funny thing is, other than Paper Mario I never see any RPGs I'm interested in on Nintendo consoles. That's part of the reason I enjoyed owning both a GC and a PS2 last gen is that the PS2 had FF, which has been going downhill since it's recent iterations anyway (I didn't like 12 much really). My point being that I'll probably shell out for a 360 if it actually gets a bigger variety of games.

I don't like generic Japanese RPGs that much anymore so it'd be interesting to see some American ones. Of course what would really be great would be if more great RPGs like Chrono Trigger were released now days instead of the same old boring crap. Hope springs eternal I guess.

Aw well, it's only Europe. We're only like one of the biggest consumer markets for video games and RPG adicts, no big rush there. I think if one country is more blind to Europe than America, it's Japan. God damn region locks as well, I speak Japanese for gods sake, let me import shit from your dinky ass country to let it run on my EU console. >=(

Lost Odyssey will probably be the reason I'll get a 360. (The Zephyr model of course...)

I feel bad for our European gaming breatheren. I can't imagine what would make it take so long from US release to Euro release.

Seeing the Blue Dragon game for 360 in Japan, was one of the biggest reason for me to finally break my Sony allegiance.

I love Final Fantasy and Metal Gear, but unlike some new 360 IPs, they are the same game they have been since the beginning of video games. Blue Dragon is a FF style RPG, but it is an innovative look.

Forza 2, Assassins Creed, Blue Dragon. It will be a great year for 360. Not to mention, I'll be rocking GHII in a month.

If the PAL version somehow misses out on the Japanese voice track while the AMERICAN version gets it, something is very wrong with the world...

everyday the year 2007 looks better and better for the 360. minus the obvious killer apps (halo 3, bioshock) the list of kick ass games for this year is constantly growing and growing. it will be a year worthwhile for anyone who owns a 360.

Lord knows, what the world needs is YET ANOTHER turn based monster fighting RPG game. At least this one demonstrates how totally inadequate DVD-9 is for ambitious games.

yeah not having to get up and switch a disc is well worth an extra $200 and waiting a year for that technology. definitely.

hey drxym, do you have a toilet in your sofa as well?

REUL good post! I second the motion!

the_insider You and me both! That would be a dream!
The Japanese style of voice acting is WAY more
exciting not affraid of being melodramatic! Or
emotional.

Hey Neversage
from August to september is only 1 month!
Its not a long time. Not like they are being done
wrong on a Sony level. Remember there are many
languages there and many retail rules and ratings
rules and also some video testing that has to be done.
I think a month is fast.

Drxym
Your Kidding monster fighting? Lord knows that dont
happen in video games! We most put a stop to this
before it becomes a trend! Your kidding? Another turn
based RPG? Is that bad? Cause if it is then why are you on this subject? Move along theres nothing for turn based haters to see here. And by the way I'd much rather change a disk twice in a 60-100 hour game. Changing the disk takes 10 seconds(if your slow) But waiting 40 seconds for Every area to load of a blu-ray disk MANY times in a 10 hour game.Priceless (ops sorry
I meant $600).
