It was just a matter of time until Sony hopped on the episodic content for games -- but these games seem to be solely episodic. We mean you never have to buy a hard disc. It's all on the network... which seems to be more and more the direction they're taking, what with PS-HOME turning into a giant 3D network of gaming awesome. SCEA director of production, John Hight, had this to say on the subject: "Mid-summer this year we'll be talking about some games that are episodic in nature. Some by design, more like interactive TV broadcasts and some to take content and spread it out." To me, personally, that sounds like some will be download-only, not store-bought (actual store, not PS-Store). Hight is the man behind the launch downloadable title Blast Factor and signed thatgamecompany (of flOw fame) to a multi-project deal with the PSN. What do you guys think we'll see in episodes? Sounds like some of the more relaxing Nintendo DS titles like Hotel Dusk with the interactive TV broadcast statement. I'm all for that.
