Today's queueiest game video: Miyamoto keynote line
It took a good four minutes to traverse roughly half the line that circled a whole city block around the Moscone center's South Hall. We know your time is important, though, so we sped the above up to double speed.

first off, HOLY SHIT that lines put the wii line from e3 to shame, also anyone know the name of the songs and what flash movie used it?
Dark-Pen @ Mar 9th 2007 5:39AM
the song is a rather old one... probably from ocremix, but I don't remember if it is or not. I'd say its atleast.... 9 years old?

Man after all the hype that line should've been AT LEAST twice as long. I guess it's proof that everybody's sick of his crappy games lolz!

Too bad because of the gag order, they pretty much stood in line for a big Meh-Fest.

God you people are spoild stupid brats.
Last year, Sony barely releaced info on anything. I dont see Microsoft making any huge anoucements.
The show was about how Myamoto makes games, to expect anything else would be foolish.
Wich the gaming public has already proved to be, foolish and sheepish as fuck. -,-;

personally I found his lordship's keynote rather dull with the exception of the mario galaxy trailer.
if sony/microsoft came up with this, especially sony, expect 200 pages of highly explosive comments.
are we too forgiving?

I guess you didn't look at the main thread about the GDC for Nintendo? It's sittin at 239 replies.

And I was totally kidding. I don't think I've ever used the word "hype" in a comment before. It felt weird.

#4 and #6, I was always under the assumption that this guy (http://www.mortisland.com/main.html) made that video. Click the movies tab, then under strange movies. I remember him saying that the weird boy voice was his brother saying he should do this and that in the background, so he threw them in.
Mick @ Mar 9th 2007 7:35PM
I take it back, that guy only made the video. I hadn't watched it in years and just finished the credits.

Personally his keynote was one of the best keynotes I've heard. GDC is a developers conference, the keynote was directed to developers. He touches on a lot of points that I feel are most essential to gaming, about having that human touch, about when it comes down to it, developing a game with the core idea of the players emotion in mind at all times. It was a message I feel was long overdue, and hope that all developers take it to heart. That message is bigger than just any technical news that may be really nice to find out right now but as time passes it becomes old news. This keynote is something that will resonate at least to developers for generations to come. I don't know what I was expecting from his keynote but as I continued to watch and by the end I realized that at least to me the keynote was very important. It also gave me a deeper understanding about how games are developed at Nintendo. They definitely have have a their own philosophy towards the industry, it's something they believe and hold true to. It definitely isn't violent games, so they let other developers who want to make violent games go that route. So right now they have a strong concept and grasp of their company's ideals and do the best they can with that, and so should the developers at other company's that may be doing the violent games, or the sports games and so on. It made me realize that all this "console war" stuff about, who's gonna win who's not gonna succeed, is all really petty. There are millions of people out there who want different things. There's enough room for everyone to create and enjoy those specific things. All I can say is that I can really respect Miyamoto for bringing something positive to the table, and his care for the people who matter most, the people who play his games.
