Mario + Disney = Mushroom Kingdom Hearts

I'd rather have a true Sequel to Super Mario RPG, the first Mario/Square interwind (Culex's boss music of course)

I know the article itself is fake, but I do hope the concept happens in the future, and not just Mario, but all Nintendo characters. We saw how well Smash Bros turned out, it's the same concept. And frankly, Disney can only provide so much of their properties. It's not like every property they own can fit the franchise. Just imagine Herbie the Love Bug in it. On the other hand, who can say for sure. Regardless though, adding Nintendo's own worlds will certainly help expand the scope of the franchise. Nintendo after all holds one of the best library of characters that have been shown to somehow mesh well together much in the same way a lot of Disney properties have in Kingdom Hearts (as oppose to Sonic being in a Final Fantasy type of setting, that however just needed some work).

This HAS to be a joke!!!! 41 characters? MARIO WITH A KEYBLADE?!?! So not real. And anyways, 4-1? Duh. But it would be so cool to see all the short mario people against heartless!!!(they'd be the same size!!!)

If Nintendo and Squenix make this game, I will buy the Wii. Even though I still don't like the controller.

It may be an April fools prank, but I'm really hoping its real. I mean they would sell out if they came out with that. But I have this issue and the artical says all SE gave was an early title. Also on the side it says developer is SE and publisher is SE.
They don't even mention Nintendo. So its very posible this is just a fake.

It's a prank... I mean look at the name it just seems too clanky it doesn't flow well, and even if the name alone doesn't tip it off. As people have already noticed the 41, 4/1 connection. Think about the whole console war going down it's Sony vs Microsoft vs Nintendo. Square Enix being a supporter of Sony, only, since 1999. The chances that Square Enix would put out exclusives on both Nintendo Wii and the PS3 is faulty. As all the Square Enix releases, including Squaresoft, releases have been exclusive to one company, it was Nintendo in the past and now it's Sony. But it was a great prank nonetheless, I fell for it until a friend looked into it more. I wasn't excited though, I thought it was stupid and would have killed the entire concept of Kingdom Hearts. Also, there's rumors of Kingdom Hearts III, a PS3 exclusive, coming out that is pre-Sora, explaining how the Keyblade came about. And if the rumor holds true development will not begin until AFTER all three or four Final Fantasy XIIIs are made. So it seems even less likely that Square Enix would work on a Wii Exclusive KH before they worked on FFXIII, much less KH3. Although it hasn't been confirmed as a prank. It's pretty positive it's a fake, but it was a great prank. And all of EGM's pranks have been good, you would think by the second or third prank people would be more on their feet about ridiculous "facts." I.E. the Smash Bros prank about Sonic and Tales and the Sheng Long code for Street Fighter II. They're good pranks and it's sad that people take them so seriously.

Good thing it's only an April Fool's joke. It's okay to further bring down FF characters with the button mashing mess that is Kingdom Hearts, but making Nintendo characters suffer through that is completely unacceptable.

This concept for a game would be good, but I'm holding no hopes for this to not be a April Fools. I would certainly like to smash EGM's brains for pulling us in like this only to drop the bricks on our head.

what's wrong woth 41 mario charters in a game? if this were real it would sell like hot cakes. tobad it isn't.

If this is real i would get it...because about evrything square makes is totaly badass...but it looks too much like a prank...but they could do it...however when ya thik about it, it has too much copyright material in it...but again if it was real they woud have enough characters and places to use....

I am a manager at EB Games and We've recieved Marketing for the game. The article is real and so Is the game. I've personally read emails from nintendo reps on what kind of marketing stuff we will be getting for all of our stores in the next six months to advertise. So it's real. Just wanted to set the record straight.

by the way off the top of my head I can name 41 characters. If you were any kind of gamer you could easily name 41 nintendo characters. Which is actually what the article says. "41 Nintendo Characters" not Mario characters.

This is actually true, believe it or not. The game will consist of around 100 some nintendo characters, they just put 41 to make you think about april fools. Also, if you think nintendo does not have that many characters, i guess you never heard of pokemon have you?

Listen to all of you. Well most of you anyway. Thinking that it is absurd that there would ever be a Mushroom Kingdom Hearts. I mean look. At the beginning of Kingdom Hearts a lot of people laughed and look at it now. Also Nintendo has probably OVER 41 characters. Or have most of you forgotten Super Smash Brothers Melee? Whether or not it is a joke or not I guess we will find out. Be I think that it would make an awesome game. Just think. All you Legend of Zelda fans would get to see Link in Mushroom Kingdom Hearts BECAUSE he is a Nintendo character. Yes Nintendo may not have as many good games as PlayStation or X-box. But it still has games like Mario and Zelda to keep it going. I myself am a Mario and Zelda fan and I hate that you actually think that Nintendo is that awful. I want to believe this so much!!! But...41 characters? There are more than 41 chracters in the Mario series. But the 41 April 1st thing is really convincing. I'm going to say this is true but I will be very VERY dissapointed if this was fake!

they don't have to be main characters. nintendo can surely get 41 characters. toad, samus, dark samus, that fat guy from mario rpg. and so on. I almsots did pee my pants when i read it though, finger's crossed that they're april fools joke was the main ratchet preview.

I personally think that adding Mario (and the other 40 characters) would kill both series. Mario does not deal with a keyblade, and sora does not bash toads in his spare time. This would be a great concept for a spoof (like Kingdom Hearts Chronicles--Mario busts in and saves Sora) but for a real game it would destroy Nintendo and Squarenix/disney (sp?)

In a SONY mag I read. It said that there was going to be over or at least 100 Nintendo Characters introduced, not 41. Where did tat come from?

it is fake. I contacted Nintendo after I heard about this, they told me that there was no such game scheduled for release on the Wii
