Points for getting Shiggy cameo...but I didn't really get it. What was the joke here?

Nerdtacular, the joke was Shigeru Miyamoto being there, and just awkwardly staring at two grown men jumping and laughing like Mario and Luigi.

If only he said something to them (be it in English or Japanese). That'd would've been even greater.

Then the Link-costumed guy stepping out then running away quickly. Funny.

That was possibly the best thing I've ever witnessed in my life. Love to see Miyamoto interacting with the fans. The look on his face is just too perfect.

Awesome skit, but the best one is their Katamari one. Find it on their website. Hilarity ensues.

Cute idea, but kinda lacking in the execution.
Which ain't to say that I could do better, just that I could imagine it being even funnier if it was acted a little differently.

Ok, so it's not as good as the Paperboy thing they did, but the punchline was great. I agree, it needs some deadpan one-liner (in Japanese) from Miyamoto to put it over the top.

i thought the joke was on intellectual property violations. or maybe parodying his work right in front of him.

Simply through positive thought, Miyamoto has been known to give his enemies the smackdown.

That was great...BUT I still think their take on Dig-Dug is their best work.
