Portal only open four hours

Kim Swift, Valve's level designer stated that Portal clocks in at around four hours to complete. As a standalone retail game, that would be quite disturbing, but given that it's accompanied by four other titles in the Half Life 2: Orange, we're a little more forgiving. Still, the game promises to be a bit of a mind-frack, though Swift promises that the difficulty curve isn't going to be overwhelming as the game teaches you to "think in portals". So, are you going to put into the better part of an afternoon into this when you pick up Orange later this year, or are you going to stick with Half Life 2 and its episodes with a side of Team Fortress 2?

i wish i could just buy portal. that game seems AWESOME!

That's fine- it looks totally aweesome, and the bundle still represents the biggest bargain in recent console game history.

I imagine that there's the possibility of DLC to the title anyways.

A level design editor would have given it much longer legs, but it'll still be four hours well spent.

though I am excited about the whole package.

I look forward to trying Portal. It looks cool. The whole HL2 Orange things seems really sweet.

Count me in for Orange for sure..but I'm mostly excited to play Portal!

That's a wee bit disappointing (as Portal got me interested in HL2 and TF2, not the other way around) but I can always hope for DLC.

That said, yes, it's still a crazy bargain!

You bet your sweet ass I'm buying Half-Life 2: Orange. I love Half-Life2, portal [like how it's looking!], and have never tried Team Fortress.

i am purchasing this game for all of it, although i will be spending most of my time playing TF2.

however, i do want to know what their plans are concerning achievements, since its five games in one bundle.

...i am dreaming about five thousand achievement points that i will thoroughly enjoy attaining, perhaps it is only a dream. alas.

oh, yeah, and how much is this going to cost us?

I think I will sacrifice some graphics on this one and get it for the PC. For all those console goers that are wondering why: Valve has given the community a lot of mod support like Valves map maker hammer. Hammer alone makes me want this because the possibility's are endless and can add A LOT more game play. Mapping in hammer isn't that hard either just Google half wit 2 and there are some tutorials right there.
