Wouldn't you agree?
This mod, which we can't get over just how impressive it is, was sent in by reader Jeremy. His friend created this beauty, which is sitting in Atlanta, GA as we type this, and seeks to sell it for vast amount of monies on Ebay. Jeremy also assures us that a portion of the proceeds are going to be donated to Child's Play. The sword is even detachable, allowing the winning bidder to act out their desire to be Link (who doesn't want to wield the Master Sword?), as well as possess one of the sweetest looking Wiis in existence.
As always, if you've spotted a cool mod, feel free to let us know.
[Thanks, Jeremy!]

The sword and shield is part of a TP collectors set that comes with a CD of the games score. I've got them sitting on my desk in case a minuter Gannon reaps peril on my office.

Nice mod but horrible paint job, look at that orange peel (its what you call when the paint is not smooth rather it has texture like the skin of an orange).

Nope I dont think its on purpose, I bet you the modder would say its on purpose because he doesnt want to admit he does not have the skill to get a completely orange peel free paint job. If you think he is so skilled and did this on purpose then why isn't it clearcoated?
I know paint jobs, that was not on purpose. Thats the orange peel you get from using a spray can and not a real paint gun. He probably used krylon or dupli-color or something of that nature.

"I know paint jobs"
No Ron, you clearly don't know paintjobs. "Thats the orange peel you get from using a spray can and not a real paint gun." That's no orange peel spray can accident. It's much rougher than anything you could achieve with a standard can. This almost looks sand-blasted. It's a great finish, even if it's not to everyone's tastes.
"If you think he is so skilled and did this on purpose then why isn't it clearcoated?" - if you read his answers on eBay he says it is clearcoated.
"he does not have the skill to get a completely orange peel free paint job" - so er.... what about the gold stand, buttons and Gamecube faceplate?

Ron : It was done on purpose. The other areas that were not painted intentionally to look like that are clearly smooth. Go back to your coloring books and wall friendly kiddy paint.

Duh! That's not orange peel. It's a texture effect intended to make the Wii case look as though it were wrought out of iron.
VERY cool effect.
VERY cool effect.

clearly being a nerdatron is supposed to be some sort of insult... maybe someone hasn't clued you in but being a nerd, geek, dweeb etc aren't the horrible stigma that they used to be. The Uber Dweeb has spoken :P
Oh and the mod, clearly hard work went into this, I can only congratulate the person for a job well done and the winning bid is unreal. Good job.
