Game name stereotypes

The staff over at CMP Media had the gauntlet thrown down by Game Developer Magazine's Editor Jill Duffy to come up with the most stereotypical video game name. They touched their brains in the soft spots and came up with:

Quaternion: The Beige-ning
WWII: World War II
Ubisoft's Tom Clancy's Call Of Duty: Revenge Of Duty
Pauly Shore's XTREME Nude Wakeboarding II: The Awakening
Final Fantasy VII: The Black Gate: Part Two

Obviously "WWII: World War II" won among the staff. A similar rant about the naming of games occured on 1UP a few weeks ago. Is there a simple name to just sum up every major title in the industry? How about: Super Master Chief Off-road DS?

from what i've seen, its a great game, but that name is so cheesy, it makes me roffle in my waffles

Is it me, or is the title Killzone like one of those parody videogames off The Simpsons? Yanno, like...

With the Nintendo home consoles, it been a lot of 'Super' This for the SNES and Something '64' for the N64. On the handheld side we got Crap 'Advance' on the GBA and Dumb 'DS' for the DS. Hopefully we don't get too many 'Wii' titles outside of those from Nintendo.

I love it how I made a Call of Duty poop joke, and then 2 people proceeded to copy it and act like they came up with it. Kudos

Lost Planet: Extreme Condition is pretty much the lamest most uninspired real game name I have heard in years.

I think Killzone, Lost Planet: Extreme Condition, and Motorstorm are some of the dumbest names out there. A storm of motors! A zone of killing! A planet that is not only lost but has conditions which are extreme!

Game titles seriously need a shot in the arm with creativity juice. This is similar to that, and it perpetuates those stereotypes. Hit refresh and it generates a new video game "review" at random using a bunch of funny scripts.
