I can complain about the $30 price tag. If it were at retail, fine, but $30 for a downloaded expansion? It's a little much. Should have been $20. $25 at absolute most. I'll probably buy it, because Oblivion truely is one of the best games of all time, but it really is too expensive. They sure as hell didn't use any creativity on their new theme either.

Well, if you're truly upset about the pricing model, then don't grudgingly buy it, just don't buy it at all. If you complain buy still pay, they won't care. Vote with your wallets.

Honestly, I wouldn't buy this no matter the price because I've had my fill of Oblivion, but the way people purchase this will effect future expansions to other games. This isn't a question of whether this expansion is too much, but a matter of how much can MS charge for a file with no printed materials. If people refuse to buy it, then they will lower the price. It's like the horse armor. It was the first, people bitched, prices got lowered.

I'm not going to pay $30 for a digitally distributed title. I don't care how many hours it is, what the value/hour ratio is, etc. If you don't buy it, you'll make a statement that the savings of digital distro needs to be passed on to the consumer.

What is up with this site's love for Xbox360Achievements.org ?

Achieve360Points is a much better site, and they actually had these achievements up a few days ago.

Oh, I've got a sneaking feeling it'll have a price drop in a few months, but I'll probably be picking it up as soon as it comes out. I haven't played Oblivion in a long time, as great as it is. I've got a level 32 character who has completed literally every quest in the game, save for one or two of the DLC missions that I found superfluous.

I role played the end of his story line just for fun. He went mad with power and threw himself off the top of Cloud Ruler Temple. Four times. He had a lot of hit points.

Anyway, it's going to be fun to resurrect him for this quest. It sounds like some of the monsters might actually be challenging again. :-D

what's with this obsession with achievements... I mean they are cool and everything but complaining about "dull" achievement points it's just a little too much for me.

These achievements mirror the achievements in the game proper so your complaints are just about a year old by now. Though I think you're right, getting an Achievement for every rank in every Guild was a pretty weak way to dole Achievements out in such an expansive game.

Hmm..30 dollars is a bit on the pricey side. However, didn't i see an article a few weeks ago on the feeds that Shivering Isles was also going to be released as a retail ? As in, with Oblivion included on the disk? Im fairly sure i did. But does that mean a 90 dollar game? I traded in my copy a few months back when i had exhausted all the quests, so looks like i'll be buying back again. Damn you, gamestop.

Ok it is one of the greatest rpg's iv'e played in a while, and i too have finished alllll of the quest in the game , but this should have been dlc by now!! I agree don't buy at first then they will lower the price $20 at the most for me. Or maybe just put out a huuuuuge expansion pack, then people will not feel as jaded by the price. I think we are ready for a new one by now anyway!!!

The achievements are actually in the dashboard menu for the game and have been for a while. I noticed it when I popped it in not too long ago.

I don't think $30 is that bad. It's supposed to be rather large and I was happy to see the addition of new enemy types. It really doesn't matter if it's retail or not to me... if a box and a sheet of paper telling you how to install it are worth another $10 plus tax to you, I guess we're in a different boat lol.

On a side small note, does anyone know if there will be online co-op for this?

BTW, looking forward to this game and it's achievements regardless of the $30.

Does it have new dungeons, quest-crippling bugs, and a few-too-many creepy looking face models with 'paedo-smiles'?

If so I'm sold!
